Salem

— Officers responded to the 1400 block of Cleveland Street at 12:37 a.m. Thursday where a resident reported something making a noise in her house, possibly an animal. Officers searched the house, but found nothing.

— Shawn Michael German, 18, Prospect Street, Salem, was arrested on an active warrant for theft out of Boardman after officers responded to his home for a warrant check at 9:12 p.m. Wednesday.

– Tobias Michael Menough, 47, Lisbon Road, Salem, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear and driving under suspension following a traffic stop on East Sixth Street and North Lincoln Avenue at 12:32 a.m. Wednesday.

– Officers responded to the 1000 block of New Garden Avenue at 11:54 a.m. Tuesday in reference to a cement truck that had been making a delivery in the area and struck a fire hydrant. Officers contacted the company and advised them of the situation.

– Breanna Lynn Chambers, 26, High Street, Leetonia, was cited for assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash in which she was turning north off Sugar Tree Ally onto North Lincoln Avenue, striking a southbound vehicle driven by James Lowell Rounds, 41, Youngstown. No injuries were reported.

– Officers responded to a 2800 block East State Street business at 6:18 p.m. Monday in reference to someone who had taken multiple items totaling $840.21. The person in question has been trespassed from the business and the matter is being investigating for possible charges.

– Officers responded to the 700 block of East State Street at 3:52 p.m. Monday where the complainant reported someone who had been trespassed from a property in the 100 block of South Lincoln Avenue had parked his vehicle on the property, at which point a verbal altercation took place. Officers told the complainant to fill out a written statement since they could not positively identify the suspect in camera footage.

– Officers responded to the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 3:17 p.m. Monday where a resident reported someone had tied a dog to her back porch, but that she does not own a dog. Officers contacted the dog warden to retrieve the dog.

– An Allen Road business reported at 1:21 p.m. Monday receiving bad checks. The caller said she had already contacted the bank. The matter was turned over to the detective division.

Officers responded to the 800 block of Jennings Avenue at 9:44 a.m. Monday where a caller reported receiving unwanted calls from several businesses. The caller was advised of options for dealing with the situation.

– Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 7:39 a.m. Monday in reference to a natural death. The coroner’s officer responded and released the body to a local funeral home.

– Officers responded to the 600 block of East Seventh Street at 6:51 a.m. Monday in reference to the well-being of a juvenile. Upon arrival, officer found no one lives at the address. Officers made contact with the school resource officer to advise him of the incident.

Sheriff’s Office

— A theft was reported at 12:44 a.m. Wednesday on Cream Ridge Road, Elkrun Township. A deputy responded and spoke to the caller about how to proceed and also checked the area around the residence for people, finding no one.

— Deputies responded to the area of Hazel Run Road, Washington Township regarding a shooting complaint received at 11:57 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies checked the immediate and surrounding areas, but found nothing.

— A domestic disturbance was reported at 4:47 a.m. Saturday on Township Line Road, Madison Township, where deputies spoke to a man who said the other party, a female, left after he called the sheriff’s office. He reported an argument ensued after she returned home from being out with friends and at one point, she allegedly intentionally ran her Jeep into the rear of his car, causing damage to the trunk and rear bumper. There was no damage to the Jeep. He did not wish to press charges for the damage to his vehicle and signed a refusal for the criminal investigation and domestic dispute for when she allegedly grabbed him.

— Deputies responded to a call about a disturbance at 11:52 p.m. Friday on Bayard Road, West Township, learning a woman was locked out of the outside door to an apartment and was pounding on the door and windows causing unnecessary noise. When deputies arrived, they found the woman was now inside the apartment. They spoke to all parties involved to confirm there was going to be no more trouble.

Leetonia

— A female Pearl Street complainant advised her allegedly intoxicated uncle was driving past her house sometime around 7:45 p.m. April 29 and harassing her. An officer responded to the area and did witness the described van in the area but parked and unoccupied at his residence.

— A Columbia Street woman called at 4:52 p.m. April 24 to report that her ex-husband is stalking and intimidating her by sitting in front of her home. Within the next couple days, she reported similar activity.

Columbiana

— William Tondo, of Salem, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Youngstown police at 10:42 p.m. April 18 in the 100 block of Commerce Circle.

— Jeremy Colbetzor, no address listed, was cited at 9:49 a.m. April 16 with driving while suspended and expired registration, following a traffic stop near Salem and Old North streets.

New Waterford

— Officers arrested a male subject on Village Park Drive on Thursday at 8:48 p.m. on an active warrant through the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office. The subject, no name, age or address provided, was then transported to the Columbiana County Jail.

— Officers responded on Wednesday at 9:25 p.m. to Waynewood Drive for a noise complaint.

— Officers responded Monday at 8:32 p.m. to the area of Elm Street for a mutual aid call with the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office.
