Salem

— Officers responded to the 200 block of West Wilson Street at 5:27 a.m. Thursday for a possible domestic dispute. Officers spoke with a woman who advised that she was okay and did not wish to cooperate.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of East Fifth Street at 12:06 a.m. Thursday for a reported stolen vehicle. The caller advised that his wife took his vehicle and left the city. Officers advised that the vehicle was not stolen due to his wife having it and the couple being legally married.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 6:10 p.m. Thursday to assist the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force with taking a man into custody for engaging in prostitution. As officers arrived the man, whose name was not listed, fled the area on foot but was caught in the 200 block of West Pershing Street and placed into custody. While searching him officers found a white powder substance in his pants pocket which he advised was cocaine. He was transported to the police department and charged by the task force, and he was later transported to the Columbiana County Jail with additional charges pending lab results.

— Officers on patrol in the 200 block of Woodland Avenue at 4:18 p.m. Thursday observed a juvenile riding an electrical scooter that pulled out into traffic causing a vehicle to make a sudden stop. Officers spoke with the juvenile and advised the juvenile to be more careful near the roadway and the danger of not paying attention.

— Officers responded to the area of North Howard Avenue at 3:10 p.m. Thursday for a wellness check. The caller advised that a woman had been standing on the sidewalk for an extended period of time and was unsure if something was wrong. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the woman.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of East Third Street at 1:25 p.m. Thursday for a report of vandalism. The caller, who is the property owner, advised a group of juveniles who were seen ripping wooden posts off their front porch. They advised that they did not want to pursue charges but wanted the incident to be addressed with the juvenile’s parents. Officers will contact the juveniles at a later date and an extra patrol will be posted in the area for the time being.

— Officers responded to the 800 block of East Third Street at 7:38 a.m. Thursday for a report of a juvenile having behavioral issues and refusing to go to school. Officers spoke with the juvenile and provided them with transport to school without incident.

— Officers responded to the 1600 block of East State Street at 7:34 a.m. Thursday for a reported reckless operator weaving within its lane. Officers located the vehicle at a residence in the 1600 block of East State Street and spoke with the owner who advised they had just driven home from work and were very tired. Officers advised them of the complaint and requested they exercise more caution while driving.

Sheriff’s Office

— Huron County Sheriff’s Office called at 4:44 p.m. Tuesday to request a deputy go to a residence on Speidel Road, Hanover Township and attempt to find a 17-year-old runaway from their county. A deputy spoke to the homeowner, who said he didn’t know the juvenile and he wasn’t there.

— A deputy responded at 3:27 a.m. Tuesday to Eagleton Road, Salem Township, for an alarm going off. A car was found with the alarm going off, contact was made with the owner and everything was found to be in good order.

— A welfare check was requested at 8:51 p.m. Saturday on a 16-year-old on Miller Street, Hanover Township. A deputy spoke with the teen, who was fine, and his father.

— A domestic dispute was reported at 8:12 p.m. Saturday on U.S. Route 62, Butler Township, with a refusal signed. Smith Township police from Mahoning County assisted.

— Deputies were dispatched at 7:25 p.m. Saturday to Francis Drive, Yellow Creek Township, for a disturbance involving a person with a firearm. Deputies spoke with multiple people and there were no issues. Wellsville police assisted.

— A woman on state Route 39, Washington Township, reported at 4:14 p.m. May 8 that a dog came onto her property and was killing her chickens, then took off. A deputy checked the area, but had no contact with the dog.

— Deputies were dispatched at 9:07 p.m. May 7 to Center Avenue, Center Township, for a welfare check, with no contact with anyone at the residence. Lisbon Police located the person at the South Market Street boat launch in Lisbon and the person was fine.

Columbiana

— Found property turned into police from Columbiana High School at 8:46 a.m. May 2.

— Officers responded at 11:29 a.m. April 30 to the 100 block of Manor Drive for a disturbance. The subject was deemed to be having a mental health crisis and voluntarily transported to Salem hospital.

— An employee of Miladin Chiropractic was trespassed from Natural Blessings at 4:41 p.m. April 29.

— Robert Brooks, of East Liverpool, was cited at 11:50 a.m. April 29 for expired registration and open container near West Park Avenue and Union Street.

— A disabled vehicle was located at 10:30 p.m. April 26 on state Route 14 and Lucretia Lane and towed.

— Police took a complaint on station at 6:35 p.m. April 25 regarding a custody dispute.

— Officers reported at 10:31 a.m. April 25 to the 400 block of North Elm Street for a property dispute.

— Jawna Stokes, of North Lima, was arrested at 9:39 p.m. April 24 for resisting and obstructing official business after a traffic stop in the 100 block of east State Route 14. She became non-compliant when officers gained probable cause to search her vehicle and eventually was drive stunned. After officers gained control, she was set to the hospital for evaluation before jail.

— Rebecca Beach, of Columbiana, was arrested at 4:51 p.m. April 23 on an OVI charge at the Columbiana police station, where she had come to discuss another incident.

— A suicidal male was located at 11 a.m. April 23 near state Routes 7 and 14 before being transported to the hospital.

— Anthony Williamson, of Erie, Pa., was arrested at 9:18 pm. April 21 on a charge of open container, following a traffic stop near Wendy’s.

— Officers were dispatched at 5:17 a.m. April 21 to investigate a theft by an unidentified female at Duke and Duchess.

— Police made contact with Savanna Seth and Travis Swinehart shortly after midnight April 21 near Pittsburgh and Spruce streets regarding a suspicious illegally parked vehicle. No citations were noted.
