Salem
— Officers responded to the 400 block of East School Street at 3:25 a.m. Friday for a reported fight. When officers arrived, they observed a man who appeared to be carrying alcoholic beverages and two women outside the residence and items in the street and a white bag on the sidewalk. One of the women advised that they were all intoxicated and the mad did not want her at the residence any longer and had begun yelling at her and threw some of her belongings into the street. Both advised that nothing physical had occurred and the woman gathered her belongings from the street and was assisted with transportation to her residence. While officers investigated the incident the man became uncooperative, claiming he did nothing wrong and was advised that the altercation had caused police to be called and constituted disorderly conduct. The man refused to provide a birth date, forcing officers to identify him via police records during which he recorded officers with his phone and made multiple claims that officers had violated his rights and taunted officers, being warned that he could be arrested for disorderly conduct. Officers advised him that his rights were not violated and provided him with their rank and name to file a complaint if he chose to.
— Officers responded to a business in the 1700 block of East State Street at 2:45 a.m. Friday for a report of menacing. The manager advised that someone had called to complain about an order and had ended the call by threatening to shoot them.
— Officers responded to the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue at 10:12 p.m. Thursday for a reported fight between juveniles in the roadway. The roadway was clear when officers arrived, and officers spoke with several juveniles who advised they’d been in a verbal altercation with a known juvenile who had left the area.
— Officers responded to the 2300 block of Lexington Avenue at 9:19 p.m. Thursday for a reported assault. The caller advised that he and another person were looking at a house for sale while in his vehicle driving slowly when an unknown man began to approach in an angry manner and punched the drivers’ side window causing damage before striking the caller in the ear. Officers reviewed camera footage of the incident and located the man, Jeffrey Novak, 47, Salem, and took him into custody charged with criminal damaging and assault.
— Officers responded to the 800 block of East Third Street at 8:58 p.m. Thursday for a reported fight. The resident advised that a friend of their brother had come into their residence and accused them of stealing an item, resulting in a fight in which both fell down the steps. Both parties had conflicting stories of the incident and the fire department and EMT responded but all parties refused treatment. Both parties did not want to pursue charges. One of the men was trespassed from the residence.
— Officers responded to Centennial Park at 7:37 p.m. Thursday for a noise complaint. Officers advised them of the complaint, and they turned the music down.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 7:11 p.m. Thursday for a report of a dog left in a vehicle. Officers checked on the dog, which appeared to be okay, and the owner of the vehicle left for the evening.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Sixth Street at 6:29 p.m. Thursday for a reported breaking and entering in progress. The caller advised an unknown man was inside the residence and that a resident had been able to get them out prior to officers’ arrival. The man left in an unknown truck with two other men inside. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate anyone.
— Officers responded to the area of South Union Avenue and Ridgewood Drive at 6:25 p.m. Thursday for a reported parking complaint. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to contact them but had to leave due to another call.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of East State Street at 5:32 p.m. Thursday for a reported drive off. However, the business subsequently discovered that it was a mistake and the person had paid.
— Kendall Martin, 18, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after his eastbound vehicle on West Pershing Street struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Michelle Coulter, 34, Salem, at 4:32 p.m. Thursday. No injuries were reported.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of East State Street at 3:06 p.m. Thursday for a report of a group of juveniles possibly in an altercation. Officers did not locate any groups in the area and no issues were located along the nearby streets and alleys.
— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 2:22 p.m. Thursday regarding unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. It was discovered that the incident had occurred outside the city, and they were referred to the appropriate law enforcement agency.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 1:54 p.m. Thursday for a report of a man arguing with a child in the backseat of their vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and spoke with a man and woman who advised that they were yelling at their grandson, but nothing physical happened. Officers observed the child who did not show signs of assault.
— Officers responded to the 400 block of Sharp Avenue at 1:22 p.m. Thursday to deliver a message, but were unable to contact the man in question.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of Cleveland Street at 10:41 a.m. Thursday for a speak with officer call. The caller advised that her brother put a storage bin full of clothes and his cell phone on the curb lawn unattended around 8 a.m. and when he went back outside two hours later it was located on the neighbor’s sidewalk emptied with all the clothes scattered on the lawn. Officers advised them that anything put on the curb could be mistaken for trash or free items and attempted to speak with the neighbor, but nobody was home.
— Officers responded to the 200 block of South Broadway Avenue at 10:23 a.m. Thursday for a report of fraud. It was found that the person lived outside of city limits and was advised to contact the proper law enforcement agency.
Lisbon
— Officers received a report on Tuesday at 4:23 p.m. from a woman who advised that she received a text message from an unknown number. She advised that the texter sent her nude photos that she had taken of herself. She said that she asked who it was sending the message and they did not answer. She also advised that she had not sent any nudes to anyone in a long time. Officers advised her of a potential scam.
— Officers responded to a private property vehicle accident at Save-A-Lot at 1:22 p.m. on Tuesday.
— Officers responded on Monday at 12:56 p.m. to a report of a mini bike on the road on West Washington Street.
— Officers responded at 6:08 p.m. on Monday to a dropped an alarm on Lincole Way.
— Officers responded to North Market Street to speak to a resident on Monday at 5:32 p.m. on Monday at the request of the East Palestine Police Department to ask the resident to call the EPPD.
— Officers responded at 8:19 p.m. on Sunday to a suicidal female at the Christina House. Officers waited for EMS to arrive and transport the women to an area hospital.
— Officers responded on Sunday at 2:23 p.m. to a suicidal male in the parking lot of the police department. The male was transported to an area hospital by EMS to arrive where they then transported him to the hospital.
— Officers responded at 10:11 a.m. to Morrs St. on Sunday to a medical alert.
— Officers responded at 1:52 a.m. on Sunday to West Washington Street for a report of a male having trouble breathing. On arrival officers stayed with the male until the arrival of EMS personnel.
— Officers responded at 2:32 a.m. to North Market Street for a report of glass breaking and yelling. Officers arrived and found a party of people breaking plates and screaming to let out frustrations of past relationships. The party was warned about their noise.
— Officers were dispatched Saturday at 11:44 p.m. to North Market Street for a possible domestic. Officers arrived and found multiple parties having a verbal argument, and a couple was given a courtesy ride to their home on Chestnut Street to separate all parties.
— Officers responded at 5:11 p.m. on May 1 to East Lincoln Way for a neighbor complaint. A man reported that a tree branch fell over the fence and onto his property and that the tree branch is still connected to the tree on the property of his neighbor. The man advised he has been able to make contact with the neighbor.
— Officers responded at 12:12 p.m. on April 30 to a report of a female yelling and threatening someone with a bat at H&R Block on North Marker Street. Officers advised the women to stop yelling and making threats or she would be charged, she was also advised that if she came back dhe would be arrested for disorderly conduct.
— Officers responded at 5:02 p.m. on April 29 to Circle K on North Market Street to a private property crash.
— Officers responded at 12:04 p.m. on April 29 to the Morning Journal on Maple Street to a lockout.
