Sheriff’s Office
— A deputy responded at 4:06 p.m. Wednesday to a 911 hangup call on Pine Hollow Road, Rogers, making contact with a woman who said she must have accidentally called. She advised she was OK.
— A deputy at 3:16 p.m. Wednesday returned a call regarding a 911 hangup on Cusick Road, Lisbon, learning from the caller that everything was OK and his phone was messed up. There was also a 911 hangup from the same residence at 7:02 p.m. Tuesday. The resident was OK.
— A resident on Haiti Road, Salineville, reported at 1:21 p.m. Monday that someone shot their cat and the cat later had to be put down.
— A deputy responded at 4:13 p.m. Sunday to Wildwood Acres Campground in Madison Township for a 911 hangup call. The deputy checked the campground and did not find anyone in distress.
— An anonymous caller at 6:23 p.m. Saturday asked for a report to be sent to the Columbiana County Dog Warden that multiple dogs possibly without dog tags were on a property on Stump Road, West Township. The report was sent to the dog warden.
— A civil matter was reported at 5:24 p.m. July 17 on Waterford Road, Unity Township. A deputy spoke with both parties involved and advised them on how to proceed.
Salem
— Officers responded to the area of Georgetown Road and Prospect Street at 4:13 a.m. Thursday to assist Perry Township officers. Officers assisted until no longer needed.
— Officers responded to the 800 block of Superior Avenue at 10:28 p.m. Wednesday for a reported 911 hang-up call. Officers spoke with the caller, and everything was deemed to be okay.
— Officers responded to the 200 block of South Broadway Avenue at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday for a reported property dispute. Officers provided the caller with their options.
— Officers responded to the 200 block of West Fifth Street at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday for a reported barking dog. Officers checked the area but did not observe any noise.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of Washington Avenue at 8:22 p.m. Wednesday for a reported domestic in progress. The caller advised that the other party was staying with her and stole her money. Officers spoke with both parties and the other person advised they did not take her money, and they chose to leave for the night. Everything was deemed okay and there was nothing physical.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of Fair Avenue at 8:07 p.m. Wednesday for a wellness check. The caller advised that her husband has not returned to the hospital to pick her up. Officers checked the residence, but nobody was home.
— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 7:42 p.m. Wednesday for a report of theft. The caller advised that he left his wallet at the residence and when he returned to get it, all the money that was in it was gone. Officers advised that they would attempt to contact the person to talk about the money.
— Officers responded to the 300 block of East Fourth Street at 6:54 p.m. Wednesday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised that his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend put an air-tag in her car to track her. Due to the incident happening outside the city, the caller was advised of what resources to contact. He also had property of the ex-boyfriend which was given to officers for them to retrieve at the police department at a later date.
— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 6:21 p.m. Wednesday for a child custody dispute. The caller advised that his ex-spouse did not come to the custody exchange for their daughter for the second time. Officers advised that there would be a report on file.
— Officers responded to the 2200 block of South Howard Avenue at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday for a reported neighbor dispute. The caller advised that their neighbor has been causing issues regarding their children playing music and being on the sidewalk. Officers spoke with both parties and advised them not to engage with each other.
— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 4:12 p.m. Wednesday for a report of solicitors. Officers advised them of the city’s soliciting laws.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 3:56 p.m. Wednesday to assist the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force with an alleged sex offense. Officers placed the person in question into custody, and $80 was seized as part of the investigation. The Ohio State Highway Patrol transported the person to the Columbiana County Jail.
— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 2:08 p.m. Wednesday for a reported theft. The caller advised that his wallet was stolen in the 400 block of South Broadway Avenue and had since been used at a variety store. Officers advised the caller to cancel all the cards in the wallet, and officers provided them with a report number. Officers checked video footage from the business but did not observe anything conclusive.
— Officers responded to the 1400 block of Quaker Circle at 8:47 a.m. Wednesday for a reported parking complaint. Officers advised that it was private property, and the owner could have the vehicle towed if they wanted.
Lisbon
— Officers responded at 2:16 p.m. on July 1 to the BP gas station on state Route 154 to conduct a welfare check on two occupants of a pickup truck who were both asleep. Upon arrival, officers spoke with both occupants and they stated that they were okay and just decided to pull over and get some rest.
— Officers responded at 3:30 a.m. to June 30 to Circle K at the request of a worker who stated a man was outside harassing customers and smoking in front of the propane tanks. Officers arrived to find the man had already left. Officers cleared without further incident.
— Officers spoke to a woman on June 30 at 10:56 a.m. at the station about her ex harassing her. She was advised to forward any messages to an officer’s email. After an investigation, it was undetermined who sent them.
— Officers conducted at 6:49 p.m. on June 28 a traffic stop on a motorcyclist on West Washington Street near South Market Street after observing the male subject operating a motorcycle with no safety equipment. During the traffic stop police learned that the operator, Dutch M. Morris, 35, Lisbon, had an active warrant for his arrest out of Columbiana County along with having a suspended driver’s license and no motorcycle endorsement. Morris was arrested and transported to the Columbiana County jail.
— Officers executed a warrant on June 28 at 11:49 p.m. at East Lincoln Way. Officers arrested Anthony Delmont on a warrant for failure to appear.
