Sheriff’s Office

— Deputies were dispatched at 5:02 p.m. Tuesday to King Road, Butler Township for a domestic violence report. A refusal was signed by both parties involved.

Salem

— Officers on patrol in the area of North Lincoln Avenue at 12:05 a.m. Friday for stopped a vehicle for a lane violation. During the investigation the driver, Cameron Warmouth, 18, Austintown, was put through roadside tests due to suspicion of alcohol consumption and ultimately taken into custody for OVI and underage consumption, and an inventory of the vehicle located open alcohol containers inside the vehicle and in Warmouth’s backpack. Warmouth was transported to the police department for further testing and later transported to the Columbiana County Jail. Warmouth was also cited for marked lanes.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Third Street at 11:56 p.m. Thursday for a report of two suspicious people allegedly sneaking around vehicles in the area. Officers spoke with the people in question who advised they were walking.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Walnut Street at 8:47 p.m. Thursday for a reported dispute. Officers spoke with a man outside the residence who advised they wanted to speak with someone, and the fire department and EMT responded to speak with them. The man refused to go to the hospital and all parties were advised to keep the noise down.

— Officers responded to the area of West Pershing Street at 8:24 p.m. Thursday for a report of a man allegedly yelling at and physically assaulting a female passenger. Officers responded to the listed residence and spoke with the female half who advised that there was no domestic dispute and that she was not injured. She also advised that the male half had left the residence prior to officers’ arrival.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of Woodland Avenue at 6:54 p.m. Thursday for a report of a man locked out of his residence. The man advised that his roommate had locked him out and officers attempted to contact the roommate but were unable.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Hawley Avenue at 6:38 p.m. Thursday to assist the city’s humane officer with an animal complaint. Officers stood by until they were no longer needed.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of Continental Drive at 4:58 p.m. Thursday for a reported incident between two people calling each other names during a bingo game. The caller advised that they investigated the matter but needed a police report.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of West Pershing Street at 2:10 p.m. Thursday for a report of criminal trespass. Officers were advised that the person in question had been invited by the homeowner.

— Officers responded to the 2200 block of East State Street at 12:07 p.m. Thursday for a wellness check on an older man on the ground. Officers found the man was okay and that his wife was with him. Both advised that he had tripped getting out of the car and had to lay there for a second because he tweaked his back. No medical personnel were needed.

— Officers responded to the area of West Pershing Street at 11:48 a.m. Thursday for a wellness check on a man reported to be sitting on the ground close to the train tracks. Officers spoke with the man who they found was having a possible medical emergency. The fire department responded to assess the man, and he was transported to an appropriate medical facility for further evaluation.

Leetonia

— Officers responded at 3:18 p.m. Aug. 5 to a two-vehicle crash in the area of state Route 344 and Lisbon-Canfield Road to assist with traffic control.

— Vincent Gregory Pack, of Warren, Mich.was cited for improper backing at 12:21 p.m. Aug. 6 in the area of Columbia and Hazel streets near the tracks. Pack backed his rental box truck over a Jeep driven by Abigail Leake, of Salem.

— William Weyand Jr., no address listed, was stopped at 5:44 a.m. Aug. 7 in th Family Dollar parking lot as a result of several violations. In addition to the vehicle lacking a functional license plate light, he turned left without a signal as well as was driving under a non-compliance suspension. His passenger also lacked a driver’s license. Weyand told the officer that he had work privileges but failed to produce a court letter stating such. The vehicle’s owner came and retrieved both men and then returned to get the vehicle. Weyand was cited for the DUS.

— Deyonta Woodbury, no address listed, was cited at 6:29 a.m. Aug. 6 for driving under suspension and a turn signal violation, after a routine traffic stop at State and Water streets.

Columbiana

— An open burning complaint was received at 9:45 p.m. Aug. 2 in the 200 block of Pittsburgh Street. Travis Swinehart, of Columbiana, was cited for the minor misdemeanor infraction.

— A lost license plate was turned into police at 12:42 p.m. Aug. 1 and returned to its owner.

— Police responded at 8:43 a.m. Aug. 1 to an Alisha Lane for a private property crash.

— Officers received a property damage report at 12:22 p.m. July 31 in the 200 block of South Main Street.

— Police responded at 10:15 a.m. July 30 to a private property crash at Dollar Tree.

— A caller contacted police at 4:48 p.m. July 28 about a suspicious person in the 100 block of 7th Street as seen on his Ring camera.

— Police complete an “under speed” vehicle inspection at 4:20 p.m. July 28 in the 500 block of Terra Verdee.

Lisbon

— A man called the station at 10:18 on Monday to file a theft report. He advised that someone stole two solar lights from his front lawn on East Washington Street.

— Officers responded to North Market Street at 9:12 p.m. on Monday regarding a dispute and custody issue. The incident was resolved by officers.

— Officers responded at 11:01 a.m. on Monday to the Lisbon Days Inn regarding a suspicious male. The subject said he dropped off there and that he did not have any money to rent a room. He also advised that he is homeless. Officers were unable to find the man housed at a homeless shelter. The man was later transported to East Liverpool City Hospital after it was learned of prior mental health issues.

— Officers responded at 5:12 p.m. on Monday to a report of an alarm drop at the board of elections on Dickey Drive. All doors were found to be secured.

— Officers rescinded at 11:06 p.m. on Sunday to the Lisbon EOCC for a report of a male attempting to enter the facility. On arrival, officers met with the male who was trespassed from the property by staff.

— Officers responded at 6:29 p.m. on Sunday to North Jefferson Street for a reported parking complaint but were unable to locate the reported vehicle.

— Officers responded at 5:34 p.m. on Sunday to the Columbiana County Fair for a report of a protection order violation.

— Officers responded at 5:25 p.m. on Sunday to the county fair to assist with a vehicle lockout.

— Officers responded at 11:53 on Saturday to West Lincoln Way for a male that had fallen. Officers stood by until North Star arrived. The male was transported to Salem Hospital.

— Officers responded to South Vine Street at 10:12 a.m. on Saturday for a vehicle accident. A Kubota was being used to load a mower deck into the back of a pickup truck when it slid off, resulting in damage to the truck.

— Officers at 7:47 p.m. on Friday to Columbiana County Fairgrounds for a protection order violation.

— Officers spoke with a resident at 4:27 p.m. on Friday regarding an issue with their landlord. The individual was informed that the issue was a civil matter and advised to seek legal counsel for any future assistance.

East Palestine

— Officers responded at 3:41 a.m. on Wednesday to North Market Street to a man who called 911 and said that two men were trying to kill him and believed that they had drugged him. The man was later found and was determined to be having a reaction to methamphetamine that he admitted to taking.

— Officers were notified of a junk car violation on West Martin Street at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

— Officers conducted a welfare check at 10:28 a.m. on Tuesday at a residence on East Main Street.

— Officers responded at 3:47 a.m. to West North Avenue on Tuesday to a report of a dog whining outside of a residence. Officers were unable to make contact with the home owner.

— Officers responded at 1:05 a.m. on Tuesday to a report of a suspicious person on West Martin Street.

— Officers responded at 9:46 p.m. on Monday to a report of a woman yelling and loud music coming from the backyard of a residence on Alice Street. Officers found several people in a swimming pool and asked them to keep the noise down.

— Officers assisted EMS with a female patient at 8:47 p.m. on Monday on Malibu Drive. The female was transported to an area hospital.

— Officers were notified of a junk car violation at 4:20 p.m. on Monday on East North Avenue.

— Officers conducted a welfare check at a residence on North Market Street just outside village limits at the request of the Ohio State Highway Patrol at 11:02 a.m. on Monday.

— Officers responded to South Washington Street at 9:07 p.m. for a fight that was taking place. Officers placed Duane Igo, no age or address provided, under arrest and charged him with assault.

— Officers responded to Cylan Avenue to a report of a verbal dispute at 11:13 p.m. on Sunday. Officers advised the parties to separate for the night and warned of criminal charges if similar calls were received.

— Officers responded at 7:59 p.m. on Sunday to a report of a reckless driver in the elementary school parking lot. At the scene, officers learned the driver was a juvenile unlicensed driver practicing driving. Officers advised that a licensed driver had to be in the car with him. He was warned of reckless operation and his parent warned of wrongful entrustment.

— Officers responded at 7:07 p.m. on Saturday to East Martin Street to a report of an ongoing disturbance. It was determined to be a verbal argument and both parties were warned for disorderly conduct.
