LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a case against Tyler Wells, 37, Chestnut Street, Leetonia, was bound over to the county grand jury for fourth-degree felony domestic violence for allegedly striking a juvenile in the face twice and throwing and breaking her cell phone on May 26 in Leetonia.
A case against Joseph Walter Perez, 43, Youngstown, was bound over to the county grand jury for fourth-degree felony promote prostitution for allegedly having an interest in an enterprise involving a woman to facilitate engagement in sexual activity on July 27 in East Palestine.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Aug. 11 for Phillip Jackson, 69, Riverview Street, East Liverpool, charged with second-degree felony strangulation and misdemeanor domestic violence for allegedly punching a woman in the face, slamming her head against the wall and floor, stomping on her arms and ribs area and strangling her with his hands, causing her to go in and out of consciousness on Aug. 2 in East Liverpool.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Aug. 11 for Kirk Price, 57, Grimms Bridge Road, East Liverpool, charged with fifth-degree felony violation of a protection order and misdemeanor theft for allegedly coming to a property to retrieve belongings while the protected person was still there on March 24 in Madison Township and taking a phone belonging to the protected person and texting her harassing messages.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Aug. 11 for Timothy Moore Jr., 27, Ashtabula, charged with third-degree felony failure to comply and misdemeanors of littering from a vehicle, no seat belt, driving while texting, failure to display valid sticker, no valid license and reckless operation for allegedly fleeing from an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper attempting a traffic stop on Aug. 2 in Elkrun Township, stopping at first, then taking off southbound on state Route 11 reaching speeds of more than 100 mph before ending on a deadend on Pennsylvania Avenue Extension in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set Aug. 14 for Robert Nye Jr., 56, North Ellsworth Avenue, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly yelling at a woman and headbutting her on Aug. 2 in Salem.
A pretrial was set Aug. 14 for Duane Igo, 65, South Washington Street, East Palestine, charged with assault for allegedly punching a man in a wheelchair and fighting with him in a ditch on Aug. 3 in East Palestine.
An assault charge against Kelly Boyer, 49, Mingo Junction, was dismissed by the state, with a notation that the victim died in August 2016. Boyer had been accused of assaulting the woman during a fight in East Liverpool in January 2016.
A pretrial was set Aug. 14 for Richard Dowling, 19, Wells Hollow Road, Wellsville, charged with violation of a protection order for allegedly being in the company of a protected person on Aug. 1 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set Aug. 14 for Jedidiah Wilson, 34, Westfield Road, East Liverpool, charged with telecommunications harassment for allegedly knowingly posting a text or audio statement or an image on an internet website or page for the purpose of abusing, threatening or harassing a woman on Jan. 28 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set Oct. 20 for Caleb Collins, 20, East Sixth Street, Salem, charged with aggravated menacing for allegedly causing another man to believe he was going to cause him serious physical harm with a knife on July 19 in Salem. Collins had previously entered a plea of no contest to the charge, but his motion to withdraw the plea was granted.
A pretrial was set Nov. 4 for Nick R. Rossi, 63, Niceville, Fla., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly requesting sexual conduct for an agreed upon price of $140 from an undercover agent, then driving to Salem on Aug. 1 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.
A pretrial was set Nov. 6 for Russell Lewis Craig, 43, Rimersburg, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a woman in exchange for $260, then arriving in East Palestine on Aug. 3 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.
Anthony L. Dukes, 38, Warren, was fined $750 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and an education course. Dukes was accused of requesting sexual conduct for an agreed upon price of $140 from an undercover agent, then driving to Salem on May 13 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.
Andrew Freed, 19, Hadley Road, East Palestine, was sentenced to 60 days in jail for violating the terms of his probation for a theft case.
A theft charge against Christopher Lee Joy, 40, Avondale Street, East Liverpool, was dismissed without prejudice upon the motion of the state. He was accused of theft related to two stolen dirt bikes on June 16 in Wellsville.
Jason Call, 31, Avondale Street, East Liverpool, was fined $300 and sentenced to 14 days in jail, with credit for 11 days served, leaving a balance of three days still to serve in jail for obstructing official business and criminal trespass for trespassing after permitted hours on a condemned property in East Liverpool on July 22 and running from police officers who were attempting to take him into custody. He stopped after being told he would be tased if he didn’t stop.
Joseph Mason, 41, homeless, East Liverpool, was fined $200 and sentenced to 20 days in jail, with credit for 10 days served, leaving a balance of 10 days still to serve for criminal mischief for kicking in the door to an East Liverpool residence on July 24.
Stephen Camp, 40, Etruria Street, East Liverpool, was fined $450 and sentenced to 21 days in jail, with credit for 20 days served, leaving a balance of one day to serve in jail for criminal trespass, theft and drug abuse instruments. Camp trespassed in a condemned residence in East Liverpool on Oct. 30, 2024, stole a bicycle on Aug. 3, 2024 belonging to an employee of Mainland Gas Station in East Liverpool and had used syringes.
Lucas Ludwig, 39, Cleveland, was fined $400 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for two counts of disorderly conduct. He was ordered to complete 25 hours community service. He was accused of causing a disturbance on May 28 at a Depot Road property in Butler Township, throwing items from a vehicle into the driveway and yard. He was also accused of engaging in disorderly conduct while intoxicated on May 28 on Lincoln Avenue in Salem.
Charles Slocum, 33, Brookfield Avenue, Lisbon, was fined $100 and sentenced to 20 days in jail for menacing for being visibly intoxicated and putting his fists up threatening to fight Lisbon police officers on July 15. A charge of failure to comply related to the incident was dismissed, with a notation saying the charge was facially invalid.
A pretrial was set Aug. 18 for Nicholas Desimone, 19, Alpha Street, East Liverpool, charged with disorderly conduct-presence of emergency facility person for allegedly causing a disturbance in the emergency room at East Liverpool City Hospital on March 27. He’s also set for a probation violation hearing on Aug. 18 for a falsification case.
A sentencing hearing was set Aug. 11 for Michael McElroy, 49, South Amherst, who pleaded no contest and was found guilty of receiving stolen property for possessing a phone reported stolen out of Sandusky during a traffic stop in Salem on Aug. 2. He was also fined $250 for driving under suspension and a tinted glass violation.
A pretrial was set Oct. 23 for John Allen Williams, 44, West Ninth Street, East Liverpool, charged with theft for allegedly stealing eight items valued at $54 from the East Liverpool Giant Eagle on July 20.
A pretrial was set Oct. 23 for Jasmine Griffin, 22, Moore Road, East Liverpool, charged with resisting arrest physical harm to officer and intoxication for allegedly being found laying in a yard intoxicated on Aug. 2 in East Liverpool. While officers were trying to find somewhere for her to stay for the night, she attempted to leave and then grabbed onto an officer and refused to follow commands during her arrest.
A pretrial was set Nov. 18 for Jonathan Keyes, 35, 18th Street, Wellsville, charged with operating a vehicle impaired refusal second offense and traffic control devices.
A pretrial was set Oct. 28 for Luis Manuel Bonilla De Jesus, 32, Youngstown, charged with OVI first offense and a tinted glass violation.
Raven Francis, 25, state Route 518, Lisbon, was fined $1,025 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for OVI and reasonable control. Another OVI charge was dismissed. Her driver’s license was suspended for one year and she was ordered to complete 25 hours community service.
A pretrial was set Nov. 3 for Billy Cloud, 62, North Beaver Street, Lisbon, charged with OVI first offense and hit skip/leave scene.
A pretrial was set Aug. 14 for Bobbie Doss, 46, Park Avenue, Salem, charged with driving under suspension. A probation violation hearing was also set Aug. 14 for a 2022 case of operating a vehicle impaired and a headlights violation.
A pretrial was set Oct. 28 for Trinity Walker, 25, Depot Road, Lisbon, charged with driving under suspension.
Jayden Underation, 18, Seville, was fined $300 for underage consumption for drinking alcohol in Salem on May 11.
Antonio Wise, 37, Akron, was fined $200 for driving under suspension and speeding.
Joseph Lippold, 37, Weirton, W.Va., was fined $50 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.
Kyra Smith, 38, Akron, was fined $30 for failure to dim lights, with a charge of driving under suspension dismissed.
