LISBON — A Wellsville man with three prior domestic violence convictions, faces second-degree felony domestic violence charges for an incident on Tuesday. A preliminary hearing was set Sept. 2 in Columbiana County Municipal Court for Ronald Knight, 51, state Route 45. Knight allegedly struck a woman in the face several times leaving visible red marks and spit in her face at his residence. Knight’s previous convictions were in 2000, 2003 and 2016.

Larry Toothman 73, East Fourth Street, East Liverpool was fined $500 for discharging a firearm and menacing amended from aggravated menacing. Toothman discharged a .22 caliber revolver into the ground at his home and made threats toward another on March 19. He was also sentenced to 30 days in jail — all suspended — and ordered to serve two years of probation, 20 hours of community service and to stay away from the victim. A charge of domestic violence was dismissed.

Cole Laughlin, 29, Depot Road, Lisbon, was fined $200 for failure to confine and register dogs.

A pretrial hearing was set Dec. 1 for Amy DeSimone, 55, Alpha Street, East Liverpool, charged with theft and trespass. DeSimone allegedly was observed by loss prevention control shoplifting at the Calcutta Walmart on Aug. 14, 2025.

A pretrial hearing was set Dec. 1 for Leona Reed, 59, Main Street, Wellsville, charged with complicity. Reed allegedly gave a ride to another woman who shoplifted at the Calcutta Walmart on Aug. 14, 2024 and was accused of concealing merchandise in her purse and having stolen merchandise in her vehicle.

Debra Farkas, 68, South Lane, Hanoverton, was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 179 suspended and one day served for domestic violence and obstructing official business. She was also ordered to have no contact with the victim, perform 20 hours of community service and serve two years on probation. A charge of resisting arrest was dismissed. Farkas grabbed a woman by her arm and squeezed causing a laceration at her home on June 6. While police were questioning the victim, Farkas ignored commands by officers and kept interrupting.

Colton Wade, 40, Macrum Street, East Liverpool was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail with credit for 26 served for domestic violence. Wade punched a woman in the face at his residence on or around July 30. The victim had a bloody nose when police arrived.

Ronald Burkhammer, 39, Riverview Street, East Liverpool, was fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 15 imposed and 175 suspended for theft. He was also ordered to stay out of the Calcutta Walmart, was placed on probation for two years and ordered to complete a 12-hour theft prevention course. Burkhammer failed to scan 23 items totaling $161 on March 11 at the Dresden Avenue Walmart.

Brent Edison, no age given, West Sixth Street, East Liverpool, was fined $500 on each of six counts of failing to file a city income tax return for a total of $3,000. A payment plan was set up though the court.

Felony domestic violence charges were dismissed at the state’s costs against Tyrone Davis, 52, 15th Street Wellsville.

Austin Hughes, 24, Main Street Wellsville, was fined $30 for an equipment violation.

Sierra Fitch, 28, Pinetree Circle, East Palestine, was fined $150 for attempted trespass amended from criminal trespass for refusing to leave a property in Unity Township on April 22 after being asked to do so by the renters of the residence.

Anthony Vaughn, 26, state Route 164, Salineville was fined $350 and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 174 suspended and credit for six served for theft. Vaughn failed to scan six items totaling $531 at the Calcutta Walmart on June 16, 2024.

Christopher Valentine, 29, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $20 for illegal plates.

Isaiah McCoy, 20, Salem Unity Road, Salem, was fined $100 for speed.

Cody Crawford, 32, Arch Street, Salem, was fined $75 for equipment violation, amended from speed.

A pretrial was set Nov. 17 for Jerome Atizia, 30, Youngstown, charged with driving under suspension.

Cristal Cronin, 49, Hammondsville, was fined $100 for no operator’s license.

A charge of driving under suspension was dismissed against Aaron Thomas, 47, East End Road, Salineville.

Gloria Flaherty, 50, Birch Road, East Liverpool, was fined $50 for driving under suspension.

Jonathan Diegdio, 23, Louise Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $20 for speed, Chargers of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and failure to display sticker were dismissed.

LISBON — An East Liverpool man will be sentenced in Columbiana County common pleas for felony sexual imposition after a recent guilty plea. Ronald Buzzard, Dresden Avenue, had sexual contact with a child under the age of 13 between September of 2011 and September 2016. He will be sentenced on Oct. 20.

— Davante Jackson, Cleveland, changed his not guilty plea recently and will be sentenced for second-degree felonies of trafficking in fentanyl-related compound and possession of fentanyl-related compound, along with fifth-degree felonies of trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs and third-degree felony tampering with evidence. Jackson prepared for sale and possessed fentanyl in an amount equal or greater than 10 grams but less than 20 grams, prepared for sale and possessed Xylazine and tampered with evidence on Feb. 2, 2024. A sentencing hearing will be held Sept. 16.

— William Barrett, 43, Grant Street, Lisbon, will be sentenced for second-degree felony burglary, fifth-degree breaking and entering, and fifth-degree possession of cocaine for breaking into a woman’s garage and vehicle in East Liverpool and taking several items on Oct. 11. Barrett recently entered a guilty plea.

— Dale Kinney, 45, Pennsylvania Avenue, East Liverpool, withdrew his not guilty plea recently for possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing cocaine on Feb. 8, 2023. A sentencing hearing is set for Oct. 20.

— Michael Ring, 50, West 16th Street, Salem, was sentenced to treatment in lieu of conviction for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing hydrocodone on Jan. 31, 2024.

– Kaitlyn Bailey, 32, South Main Street, Columbiana, was sentenced to treatment in lieu of conviction for aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine in an amount equal or greater than bulk but less than five times bulk on Dec. 28, 2023.

— Mandy Hale, 44, Canton, was sentenced to 12 months in state correctional facility for third-degree felony tampering with evidence, fifth-degree felony obstructing official business and misdemeanors of obstructed view, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

— Samantha Gallimore, 35, Minerva Street, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to third-degree felony burglary, a lesser included offense from the original second-degree felony burglary charge and was sentenced to 18 months of incarceration in a state correctional facility after violating community control. She was accused of trespassing on a property with the purpose to commit theft on April 6, 2023
