— Officers responded to the 600 block of North Howard Avenue at 4:24 a.m. Thursday for a report of suspicious activity. The caller advised that a man on a motorized bicycle was sitting in the roadway in front of their home not moving. Officers located the man who advised that he was taking his time pushing it back to his home as he could not ride it.

— Officers responded to the 1700 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 8:53 p.m. Wednesday for a reported private property accident between two semi trucks. Officers collected information from both drivers and documented the damage with pictures. No injuries were reported.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of East Third Street at 8:42 p.m. Wednesday for a reported Facebook harassment. Officers collected information and advised them to block the person and call if there were any further issues.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Pershing Street at 7:58 p.m. Wednesday for a reported intoxicated person. Officers took the person into custody and transported them to the Columbiana County Jail.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 6:51 p.m. Wednesday for a reported distraught person. Officers found that the person in question required medical attention, and first responders were contacted and transported them to the hospital for further evaluation.

— Officers responded to the area of Scarboro Lane and Painter Road at 6:22 p.m. Wednesday for a report of lines down. Officers found that the lines were in Perry Township and had already been reported.

— Officers responded to the area of North Union Avenue at 4:54 p.m. Wednesday for a reported ambulance needed. Officers provided traffic control until no longer needed.

— Officers responded to the 2200 block of East State Street at 4:21 p.m. Wednesday for a reported person to be removed. The caller advised that the person in question was causing issues with employees, and they were formally trespassed from the property and advised that criminal charges could follow if they returned.

— Officers responded to the 2300 block of East State Street at 3:51 p.m. Wednesday for a reported person to be removed. The caller advised that a woman who did not have a membership was using the showers and was refusing to leave despite being asked to do so. Officers spoke with the woman and they left.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 12:26 p.m. Wednesday for a report of possible harassment. The caller advised that a person would not leave him alone, and he wanted them trespassed. Officers advised him that he could do so, but that the other resident of the house could grant them permission to return, and he advised that he understood.

— Officers on patrol in the area of West Pershing Street at 11:39 a.m. Wednesday observed a vehicle stopped in the intersection of West Pershing and South Howard Avenue. Officers checked on the vehicle and learned that one of the occupants needed an ambulance. The fire department and EMT responded and transported the man to the emergency room.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of West 16th Street at 11:27 a.m. Wednesday for a civil standby. Officers were unable to contact the residents.

— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 8:19 a.m. Wednesday regarding telecommunications harassment. They advised that they were receiving unwanted texts and messages from an unknown person. Officers advised them of their options for dealing with the situation.

— Officers located a water leak in the 900 block of Newgarden Avenue at 2:21 a.m. Wednesday for a report water leak. Officers contacted the water department which advised that it was already aware of the leak.

— Officers responded to the first block of Elm Avenue at 12:57 a.m. Wednesday for a reported suspicious vehicle. Officers spoke with a woman who advised that she was looking for her rental unit.

— Officers responded to the 2700 block of 11:51 p.m. Tuesday for a reported person to be removed. The caller advised that a woman had entered the store after being in the dumpster area and refused to leave despite being requested to do so by the clerk. Officers located the person walking up the rear driveway of the business, and they were subsequently trespassed from the property. She was sent on her way.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Franklin Avenue at 11:22 p.m. Tuesday for a reported 911 hang-up call. The caller advised that she wanted a man out of their residence and officers found that the man had been moving out and there had been a dispute, but nothing physical had occurred. Officers stood by until the man gathered his belongings.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 11:01 p.m. Tuesday for a reported suspicious person. After speaking with the caller, officers found that they just wanted help getting rid of a mouse.

— Officers responded to the 1700 block of East State Street at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday for a report of harassment. It was determined that the caller lived in Perry Township, and they were advised to contact the Perry Township Police Department to make a report.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 7:09 p.m. Tuesday for a reported domestic in progress. Officers spoke with both parties and determined that a physical altercation had taken place and that the man had visible injuries to his eye. Officers took the female half, Cheryl Heitzenrater, 65, Salem, into custody charged with domestic violence and transported them to the police department for processing prior to transportation to the Columbiana County Jail.

— Officers responded to the 2200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 6:03 p.m. Tuesday for a reported juvenile problem. The caller advised that the juvenile was fighting with the babysitter and ran away. A missing person report was filled out and later in the shift officers were notified that the juvenile had gone to his aunt’s home and that she was taking him back home.
