POLICE
Sheriff’s Office
— A deputy responded at 5:56 p.m. Tuesday to a Glasgow Road, Madison Township address regarding a suspicious vehicle. The deputy found that the vehicle was involved in an earlier incident with another agency and was taken to the wrong address. A tow compamy retrieved the vehicle and dropped it to the owners.
— A custody issue was reported at 4:47 p.m. Monday on Old Monroeville Road, Salineville, with a deputy contacting the caller and explaining the sheriff’s office does not handle custody issues and everything would need handled through the court system.
— The Ohio State Highway Patrol at 3:58 p.m. Saturday requested a welfare check on anyone at a residence on Homeworth Road, Knox Township due to being on a traffic stop with a man whose address was listed there and who had blood on the back of his head and a knife in the vehicle. A deputy spoke with another man who said everyone at the residence was fine and the person in question did not live there, but lived in Alliance.
— Deputies responded at 4:03 a.m. Saturday to Homeworth Road, Knox Township for a report of a 911 call with no one speaking. Deputies were unable to make contact with the residents inside. A call to a family member was made and directions of entry were given. The resident was found in good health and safe. Deputies shared the information with the family member.
— A deputy was dispatched at 9:36 p.m. Nov. 13 to Grant Street, Center Township, for a medical call involving a man who was unconscious and not breathing and there was arguing in the background. Upon a deputy arriving with Northstar EMS, the man signed a medical refusal.
— A caller from Mattix Road, Center Township, reported at 8:55 p.m. Nov. 14 that a vehicle was going up and down the road and now was parked in front of the residence with its lights off. The vehicle was gone when a deputy arrived.
— A woman on North Street, Knox Township, reported at 8:31 p.m. Nov. 14 that her daughter and her boyfriend live with her and were upstairs yelling and screaming at each other. When a deputy arrived, she said they left walking on foot when she advised she called the sheriff’s office. The deputy checked the area, but had no contact with them.
— A deputy was dispatched at 7:37 p.m. Nov. 14 to Whinnery Road, Butler Township, for a juvenile-related report.
— A deputy was dispatched at 6:43 p.m. Nov. 14 to Travelers Inn, state Route 45, Center Township, for a domestic violence report involving a man and woman screaming. A refusal was signed by both of them.
— A Fairfield Township woman reported at 5:51 p.m. Nov. 14 that an unknown man pulled into her driveway on state Route 164 in a vehicle, knocked on her door and left.
— A deputy at 5:16 p.m. Nov. 14 went to East Liverpool with the police department to serve a warrant on Kayla M. Foster, 35, Ravine Street, East Liverpool. Arrangements were made for her juvenile son and she was taken into custody and taken to jail. She also received an additional charge of resisting arrest for pulling away from the deputy and trying to escape while being handcuffed. A pretrial is set Dec. 4 in county Municipal Court.
— A private property accident was reported at 5:04 p.m. Nov. 13 at a state Route 164, Washington Township property where a woman backed into a Marlboro Towing vehicle, causing damage.
— A man from the state of New York reported at 12:23 p.m. Nov. 13 that he put his cross bow next to his vehicle to go retrieve a deer and when he returned, it was missing at Hellbender Bluff Park, East Liverpool Road, Madison Township. He later called back and said he found his cross bow.
— Deputies at 1:49 a.m. Nov. 14 assisted the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office in attempting to locate a Kensington man Carroll County attempted to stop who fled. Deputies had no contact with the man at his residence and he did not return while deputies were in the area looking for him. He’s wanted by Carroll County on warrants.
— A woman on Shore Lane Road, Hanover Township, called at 3:47 p.m. Nov. 13 to request a welfare check on a neighbor. A deputy spoke with the neighbor who said she was fine.
— A deputy at 2:28 p.m. Nov. 13 returned a call regarding a trespass complaint on Chamberlain Street, Middleton Township. The deputy attempted to reach the caller numerous times, but did not make contact.
— Deputies were dispatched at 10:26 p.m. Nov. 12 to Hadley Road, Unity Township, for a domestic violence report.
— Deputies responded at 4:35 p.m. Nov. 12 to Twin Springs Golf Course, state Route 172, Hanover Township, regarding found property. The people involved were told how to proceed.
— A theft was reported at 9:29 p.m. Nov. 10 on Steubenville Pike Road, Center Township.
— Deputies responded at 6:54 p.m. Nov. 10 to Sprucevale Road, Middleton Township regarding a welfare check and were met by the friend of the person in question. Deputies laid eyes on the person and he appeared in good health.
Highway Patrol
— Melissa Miles, of Johnson Road in Lisbon, was cited at 12:29 p.m. Nov. 15 in Madison Township for failure to control, after her vehicle went off the left side of Glasgow Road and struck a pole.
— Michelle Marcan, of Foraker Street in Rogers, struck a fallen tree in the middle of state Route 7 at 2:33 a.m. Nov. 10 in Fairfield Township.
— Thomas Skipper, of Wilmington, N.C., was cited at 10:33 pm. Nov. 10 in Madison Township for failure to control, after his westbound vehicle traveled off the left side of state Route 518, struck an embankment and overturned.
— Terra Csernik, of Lyons Avenue in East Palestine, was cited at 11:28 a.m. Nov. 11 for a marked lanes’ violation, after striking a vehicle driven by Matthew Cutes, of Atwater, while driving on state Route 11 in Elkrun Township.
Salem
— Officers responded to the 200 block of Woodland Avenue at 12:18 a.m. Wednesday for a reported suspicious sound. The caller advised that an ominous beeping sound was coming from outside. Officers located the sound, which turned out to be a smoke detector in the backyard and removed the battery to eliminate the sound.
— Officers responded to the area of South Lundy Avenue at 11:23 p.m. Tuesday for a reported juvenile complaint. The caller advised that they observed multiple juveniles carrying fireworks past curfew. Officers were unable to locate the juveniles.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of South Union Avenue at 10:54 p.m. Tuesday for a wellness check. Officers were unable to make contact at the residence.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 7:01 p.m. Tuesday for a reported distraught employee that was allegedly threatened by a customer. The caller advised that they had received eight harassing phone calls from a man threatening her life over an issue with his order. She advised that the man’s wife had come through the drive-thru and told there would be a 35-minute wait for chicken and became upset, and that their husband who was not at the restaurant called and began threatening the caller and stating that he would be at the restaurant at closing time when they were locking up. Officers were able to locate the man’s information and contacted him, and the man advised that the employees were rude to his wife and admitted to calling and screaming at employees but denied having threatened anyone. At the manager’s request the man was criminally trespassed from the establishment and was advised of the same. Officers also advised the employees that they would be at the restaurant at closing for safety.
— Officers spoke to a person by phone at 6:12 p.m. Tuesday for a reported incident which occurred in the 25000 block of Bentley Drive. The caller advised that a resident had grabbed the arm of another resident. No injuries were reported, and the caller just wanted the matter documented.
— Officers responded to the 700 block of East Fifth Street at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday for a reported parking complaint. Officers spoke with the owner of the vehicle and advised them to move it, which they did.
— Officers responded to the 1000 block of Cleveland Street at 3:54 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a possible scam. The caller advised that a person called her claiming to be a representative of Bank of America, and that a credit card had been opened in her name and used to purchase firearms. The caller was asked for personal information but refused to provide it. Officers checked the number and confirmed that the person was trying to scam the caller and advised them to contact Bank of America and make them aware of the incident. The caller was provided with a report number.
— The school resource officer was requested to stand by during school dismissal in reference to ongoing issues with some parents at 3:02 p.m. Tuesday. Officers stood by until school dismissal was over.
— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 1:12 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a possible scam. The caller advised that a woman named Zoey called them and was asking personal questions and when they asked where they were calling from the call was ended, and when they called back the number was disconnected.
— Officers spoke to several people at the police department at 11:46 a.m. Tuesday regarding ongoing telecommunications harassment. Officers were advised that the harassment has been happening since September of 2025 and continuously gotten worse to the point they were fearing for their and their child’s safety. Officers took a written statement from the people and advised that they would attempt to contact the other party to gather their statement. The matter is under investigation.
Lisbon
— Officers assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol at 11:26 p.m. on Nov. 13 on state Route 154 with a reckless operator. It was found that the female driver, who resides in Canton, left a store in Canton to go home and ended up in Lisbon. She appeared to be very confused and disoriented and was not willing to cooperate. Dispatch was able to make contact with her son who was able to call his sister to pick her up.
— Officers were notified of a male “lying down like a starfish” in the parking lot of the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church on North Market Street on Nov. 13 at 10:04 p.m. Upon arrival police spoke with the male, who advised that he was just taking a break from walking home from work and was okay.
— Officers responded at 9:35 p.m. to Pendleton Street for a medical. Police stood by until North Star EMS transported the male.
— Officers responded to North Market Street for a report of an unruly child at 7:14 p.m. on Nov. 13. Upon arrival officers spoke with the son and father. The father advised that he asked his son to do the dishes when became irate. The boy said he no longer wanted Miles in the house due to his behavior. He received a courtesy transport to his grandmother’s house on Washington Street.
— Officers responded at 8:38 p.m. on Nov. 12 to a woman screaming at Circle K. Upon arrival, the woman was advised to go home and if police were called again she would be arrested. The woman then walked home.
— Officers patrolling Washington Street were flagged down by a man who reported suspicious activity at 8:10 p.m. on Nov. 12. The man advised that a silver-colored Chevy Traverse was in his driveway and when he walked outside the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed. He advised that he believes the vehicle belongs to an individual who is not permitted on his property. Officers advised the man that he is located in sheriff’s office jurisdiction, but if he observed the vehicle again to call Lisbon police.
— Officers received a request at 5:43 on Nov. 12 from St. Clair Township to ask officers to attempt to make contact with a man on North Market Street to advise him that he was trespassed from A1 Express in Glenmoor and to stop contacting the business requesting a female employee’s schedule. No contact was made.
— Officers responded to the Akron Children’s Hospital at 1:41 p.m. on Nov. 12 on North Market Street to assist on a medical call. Officers stood by until EMS arrived and they were no longer needed. Officers cleared with no incident.
— Officers responded at 4:29 p.m. on Nov. 11 to Steubenville Pike Road for a road rage in progress which started near Market and Washington streets. Each driver had hit each other’s left side mirrors. Both parties claimed the other was at fault so they were advised it would need to be left up to insurance. No citations were issued and neither party was determined at fault.
— Officers responded to Days Inn for a motor vehicle lockout at 6:47 p.m. on Nov. 11. Entry was Chestnut Street for a motor vehicle accident.
— Officers responded to the BP Gas Station at 2:49 p.m. on Nov. 11 for a report of a domestic dispute. At the scene, the caller advised that she was driving with her 18-year-old son when they proceeded to get into a verbal argument. The son allegedly grabbed the steering wheel, which frightened the woman, prompting her to pull off to the side of the road, leave her car and then proceed on foot into the BP Gas Station. The son also took the phone from her hand but officers later determined after talking to witnesses the fight was just verbal otherwise. The son took off running on foot before officers arrived and he was not located. The woman located her phone later and it was found to be cracked. She advised she wanted to pursue charges and Mykel Croons was charged with theft and criminal damaging or endangering.
— Officers responded at 4:10 p:m. on Nov. 10 near state Route 164 and Saltwell Road for a call for a wellness check on a male near the guardrails. Officers searched the location, as well as the surrounding area, but were unable to locate the male.
— Officers responded at 1:18 p.m. on Nov. 10 to East Washington Street for a medical call regarding a male. Officers arrived and stood by until EMS arrived. EMS transported the male and officers cleared with no incident.
— Officers, while on patrol on West Lincoln Way, at 12:15 a.m., located Bradley Reeder, 43, no address given, who was arrested for active warrants for drug possession.
— Officers assisted the sheriff’s office at 8:47 p.m. on Nov. 9 on Rose Drive to locate area wanted persons.
— Officers responded at 6:42 p.m. on Nov. 8 to Dickey Drive to assist fire personnel with securing a landing zone for EMS personnel.
— A man came to the station at 9:36 a.m. on Nov. 7 to advise that he had been at Circle K when an older male began to harass him about his truck and accused him of stealing the truck. The man represented officers with his title. He stated that there had been no threats of harm and nothing physical occurred.
Leetonia
— An officer investigated a noise complaint at 3:13 a.m. Nov. 18, as someone reported hearing car doors opening and closing repeatedly. Upon arrival to the 200 block of Main Street, he checked the area from Walnut to Elm and Coal Alley to Front Street and found nothing.
— A juvenile reported at 5 p.m. Nov. 15 to a patrolling officer near Wick Park that someone had vandalized the playground and a port-a-potty with graffiti.
— A village woman reported at 7:47 p.m. Oct. 13 that her estranged husband had showed up at her Honey Lane residence in the early morning hours while she was not home and took the cat before returning it hours later. She is in the process of getting a restraining order and changed the locks as a result.
— An officer provided EMS assistance at 5:13 p.m. Nov. 15 proceeding ahead to the call, so he could mark it with his lights to help them find the correct house in the 400 block of Columbia.
— Subjects were warned at 10:12 p.m. Nov. 14, after an officer investigated suspicious people trespassing on the location of Steve’s Towing. One of the vehicle’s occupants had his vehicle towed from Columbiana during a traffic stop, and he was just wanting to verify the location of his vehicle which had a hold on it.
— A juvenile was cited at 8:14 p.m. Nov. 12 in the area of state Route 344 and West Main Street for almost striking a police cruiser who had someone pulled over.
