— Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 3:42 a.m. Sunday where a caller reported smelling gun powder and unable to find a gas station employee. Officers made contact with an employee who reported a concern about people circling the store. A man was trespassed from the property.
— Officers responded to a 500 block of South Broadway Avenue business at 2:43 a.m. Sunday in reference to a person to be removed. Officers took the person in question to the police department to wait for a ride home and issued him a trespass notice from the business.
— David J. Drouhard, 38, Berlin Center, and Edward J. Crump, 32, Berlin Center, were both charged with criminal trespass after officers responded to a 500 block South Broadway Avenue business at 2:08 a.m. Sunday where they had previously been trespassed from.
— A patrolling officer at 11:13 p.m. Saturday observed an elderly woman lying on the sidewalk in the 100 block of North Ellsworth Avenue. Medical personnel arrived and found that she had fallen and injured her leg, but she refused treatment and was given a ride home by a friend.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of West Eighth Street at 9:07 p.m. Saturday in reference to a domestic dispute. Officers found one of the juveniles involved had left the area, but were able to locate him. Officers collected information about the incident and will be forwarding it to the juvenile officer for further investigation.
— Officers responded to the 200 block of South Lundy Avenue at 8:57 p.m. Saturday where a juvenile reported another juvenile had threatened to beat them up. Officers spoke with the other juvenile and their parents and advised them of the complaint. Everyone was advised to stay away from each other.
— Officers responded to the 800 block of East Third Street at 5:55 p.m. Saturday in reference to a domestic in progress and found a verbal dispute. Officers determined that nothing physical occurred, but one one of the individuals said the other had made threats of self harm, and that individual was voluntarily transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
— An officer responded to the 2500 block of Bentley Drive at 3:38 p.m. Friday in reference to a possible combative patient. The officer found the patient no longer being combative and stood by until no longer needed.
— An officer responded to the 100 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 3:36 p.m. Friday in reference to juvenile problem and made contact with two juveniles who said they were waiting for their mother who was in the nearby urgent care with their sibling. The officers observed the juvenile just standing on the sidewalk by their mother’s car.
— The school resource officer was advised at 2:56 p.m. Friday by the high school administration of an issue that had happened over the past week. The matter is under investigation.
— An officer responded with the fire department to the 1000 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 1:52 p.m. Friday in reference to a power line down. The officer found a tree cutting service had accidentally pulled a wire down. The officer stood by directing traffic while the fire department roped off the area.
— Officers responded to the 2200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 1:03 p.m. Friday in reference to a juvenile who had locked himself inside the bathroom. Officers spoke with the juvenile and advised him to cease his behavior. The caller was advised to give the juvenile some space for the time being and made aware of the process to file unruly charges through juvenile court.
— The school resource officer was advised by the school nurse at Buckeye Elementary at 11:17 a.m. Friday of an issue with a student in reference to possible issues at home. The officer advised children protective services of the issues.
— The school resource officer was advised of damage at Southeast Elementary at 8:45 a.m. Friday. Photos were taken of the damage and sent to the juvenile court for review.
