— April Kraft, of Georgetown Road in Homeworth, was cited for left of center at 1:10 p.m. Nov. 16 in Knox Township, after her westbound vehicle traveled left of center on CR400 and struck a vehicle driven by Tera Cook, of Malvern.
— Susan Kiewall, of Hanoverton, was cited for overtaking at 11:45 a.m. Nov. 14 in Hanover Township, after she struck Brandon Rose, of Knox School Road, as he attempted to turn north from U.S. Route 30.
— Jolene Gambey of Winona was cited at 6:26 p.m. Nov. 15 in Hanover Township for a yield of way violation, after she struck Zaira Sica Perez, of Winona Road in Salem, near the intersection of state Route 9 and 172.
— Jennifer Gilbert, of North Avenue in East Palestine, was cited at 10:05 a.m. Nov. 23 in Unity Township for failure to maintain an assured clear distance, after striking from behind Michael McFarland, who had stopped to turn into a private drive off state Route 14.
— Ericha Thompson, of North Elm Street in Columbiana, was cited at 12:20 p.m. Nov. 27 in the village of Rogers for a stop sign violation, after she struck Jeffrey Exline, of Dyke Road in Negley near the intersection of state Routes 7 and 15.
— Hayden Caustin, of Tiioga, Pa. was cited at 8:44 a.m. Nov. in the village of Rogers for a marked lanes violation at the intersection of state routes 7 and 154. His trailer struck two utility poles while negotiating the turn.
Sheriff’s Office
— A deputy was dispatched at 9:53 p.m. Saturday to a residence on Sell Road, Center Township for an unwanted woman from Wellsville. Upon arrival, she left the property in a vehicle.
— A Hanover Township woman at 8:52 p.m. Saturday requested a welfare check on her 4-year-old child at the father’s residence in Hanoverton. A deputy observed the child, who was fine, and spoke with the father and other family members at the residence who said the child was fine and there were no issues.
— A Shelton Road, Butler Township woman reported at 5:09 p.m. Saturday that when she returned to her residence, she found footprints in the snow and found where someone was trying to gain entry into the residence on the east side by damaging a window screen.
— A woman on Carmel Achor Road, Middleton Township reported at 4:52 p.m. Saturday that her children’s father was harassing her by telephone and text message and was following her around in his vehicle when she’s driving. She was advised how to obtain a protection order.
— A woman on Elkton Road, Elkrun Township reported at 4:43 p.m. Saturday that sometime after midnight, her mailbox was blown up and pieces were everywhere.
— The Ohio State Highway Patrol at 3:16 p.m. Saturday requested a sheriff’s deputy go to the Dollar General, U.S. Route 30, West Township, and make contact with a man who was involved in a one-vehicle crash at Sandy Creek Road at Lowmiller Road, West Township, and is requesting an ambulance due to injuries from the crash. A deputy spoke to the driver, who had injuries to his face area. Sandy Creek EMS transported him to Aultman Canton Hospital in Canton. The information was forwarded to the patrol.
— A deputy at 4:10 a.m. Friday checked on a vehicle parked at the Zeppernick Lake parking lot, state Route 172. The occupants were traveling to North Canton from the Mountaineer Casino and said they had to stop for a break. They left the parking lot following the interaction with the deputy.
— Goshen Township police at 2:55 a.m. Friday requested a welfare check on a man at an address on Lake Street, Knox Township, due to a call they were investigating for a man who may have hurt himself. No one was located at the address. The residence appeared vacant. The information was forwarded to Goshen Township police.
— Stark County Sheriff’s Office at 1:56 a.m. Friday requested a welfare check on a woman who called 911 while traveling through Stark County; however, when law enforcement arrived, they could not locate the caller or vehicle described. The caller reportedly lives in Winona. Deputies went to the home and located the vehicle, the caller and a man, learning the couple had an argument and the woman called 911 to have the man removed from the vehicle, but did not pull over and he continued to ride home with her. She parked the car and went inside the residence and left him in the vehicle, which is where deputies found him. After speaking with deputies, she agreed to take the man home.
Salem
– Brian J. Fattler, 51, Kensington, was arrested on an active warrant out of Columbiana County after officers on patrol conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of West State Street at 12:43 a.m. Sunday in which officers knew him to have a warrant. A K-9 officer alerted to the presence of a narcotic odor coming from the vehicle. The contraband was turned over to the Columbiana County Drug Task Force.
– Officers responded to the 600 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 8:02 p.m. Saturday in reference to a dog bit and found that the victim had already left for the Salem hospital. Officers responded to the Salem hospital emergency room and found that the victim suffered injuries to the left arm and hand. Photos of the injuries were documented and and the matter was forwarded to the health department.
– Officers responded to the 400 block of Continental Drive at 5:58 p.m. Saturday in reference to a domestic dispute in which a resident reported her daughter had choked her, threw food on the floor and entered her bedroom, punching the walls. The daughter was transported by medical personnel to St. Elizabeth in Youngstown due to previous mental issues due to medication and threats of self harm.
– Officers spoke with a Liberty Street resident on station at 2:58 p.m. Saturday in reference to a incident that occurred between the resident’s son and someone’s juvenile daughter. The resident said she thought everything was fine after talking to the other person and the juvenile, but learned the person has talked poorly about her and her juvenile son. The matter will be investigated.
– Eric Mroczkowski, 49, Salem, was cited for failure to yield for a stop sign following a two-vehicle crash at Southeast Boulevard and Franklin Avenue at 12:50 p.m. Saturday in which he was southwestbound and failed to stop for the sign, striking a vehicle driven by Matthew J. Finlay, 58, Salem. No injuries were reported.
– Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 1:28 a.m. Saturday where a resident reported she believed someone had broken into her home. Officers check the home, but found no evidence of a break in. Officers returned at 3:27 a.m. Saturday when the resident reported three men broke into her home. She was found to be hallucinating, and medical personnel responded to the scene. The resident was ultimately transported to a local hospital.
– Officers responded to the 1000 block of Buckeye Avenue at 10:31 p.m. Friday in reference to a well-being check in which the resident reported people were in his yard trying to get into his residence. Officers found the resident to be hallucinating, and medical personnel responded to the scene. The resident was ultimately transported to a local hospital.
– Officers responded to the 1100 block of Liberty Street at 8:30 p.m. Friday to assist the Perry Township Police Department with a domestic incident in which the caller said someone was not allowing her to close a door to get away from him. Officers stood by until no longer needed.
– Christy N. Rohn, 34, Salem, was arrested on an active warrant out of Columbiana County and cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on Ohio Avenue at East Pershing Street at 7:58 p.m. Friday.
– Logan John Stancato, 27, Beloit, was arrested on a warrant out of Columbiana County after officers responded with adult parole and the Columbiana County Drug Task Force to the 1000 block of West State Street at 2:26 p.m. Friday where he was wanted and advised to be.
Leetonia
— Chandler Robinson, no address listed, was cited at 1:19 a.m. Dec. 4 in the area of Wilson and Cherry Fork with expired registration, after a routine traffic stop for an equipment violation. Robinson was driving under suspension to transport a passenger to the hospital and they had no other means of transportation, so the officer administered a verbal warning for DUS and called for alternate transportation with licensed drivers for the parties back to their residences.
— Anthony McCormick, no address listed, was given a verbal warning at 9:12 p.m. Nov. 26 for going around a malfunction crossing gate at Beeson Mill Road and East High Street.
— Devon Harring, no address listed, was arrested at 12:43 p.m. Nov. 29 on an active warrant out of Columbiana County for theft and larceny, after the vehicle in which he was a passenger was stopped for speeding near Columbia and Hazel streets.
— Caden Shipley, no address listed, was given a verbal warning for an obscured license plate and trespassing at 1:50 p.m. Dec. 3 in the area of Walnut and. York.
— Police responded at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 2 to the 700 block of Columbia Street for a neighbor dispute over blowing snow. Both parties were told to refrain from blowing snow toward his neighbor.
East Palestine
— Officers responded at 12:52 p.m. to a personal property crash Thursday on North Walnut Street.
— Officers responded at 8:36 p.m. on Wednesday to a report of a domestic on Park Avenue on Wednesday. Officers determined the alteration was verbal only.
— Officers relayed information related to a custody agreement at 8:17 p.m. Wednesday at the station.
— Officers conducted a welfare check on a man on East Martin Street at 6:18 p.m. at the request of his daughter on Wednesday. Officers assisted EMS at the scene.
— Officers checked on a suspicious vehicle on North Market Street at 3:36 p.m. on Tuesday. The driver advised he was waiting on his wife who was at a nearby business.
– Officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Alice Street at 5:11 .m. on Dec. 1. After an investigation, a man at the home was transported to an area hospital.
– Officers responded to West Martin Street at 2:19 pm. on Dec. 1 for a disturbance. Officers made contact with both parties involved and they were advised to not contact one another.
– Officers responded at 11:40 p.m.to Wood Street for a noise complaint. Officers spoke to the residents and they agreed to keep the noise down.
– Officers responded at 11:30 a.m. to Wood Street to possible probation violations. Officers determined there was no violation.
– Officers responded at 11:27 a.m. to Brookdale Avenue for a disturbance. Officers were able to resolve the issue.
– Officers responded at 8:40 a.m. on Nov. 30 to West Clark Street to assist EMS with a male who had shot himself in the leg. The firearm was secured and the man transported to an area hospital.
— Officers responded at 1:40 a.m. on North Market Street near McClure Avenue on a vehicle with two of its occupants being under the age of 21. A probable search was conducted and contraband seized. Robert J. Powell, no age or address given, and Nichalos Ferrel, no age or address given, were issued citations for marijuana possession. Multiple vape and THC pens, an atrial case of beer and two marijuana joints were confiscated.
– Officers conducting a traffic stop at 1:32 a.m. on Prospect Street issued Ricardo Gonzalez, no age or address given, a citation for open container on Nov. 28.
– Officers seized suspected narcotics and paraphernalia during a traffic stop on Glenwood Avenue on Nov. 267 at 8:14 p.m. The matter remains under investigation.
– Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on South Main Street on Nov. 26 and arrested Anthony Gardner, no age or address given, for domestic violence.
– Officers responded at 7:41 p.m. on Nov. 26 to Glenwood Avenue to a report of domestic disturbance. Officers found no physical violence had occurred.
– Officers responded at 6:27 p.m. to a reported theft on North Market Street. The incident is currently under investigation.
