Salem
— Officers responded to the 2200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 12:38 p.m. Tuesday for a reported unruly juvenile. The caller advised that the juvenile was not listening and locked themselves in the bathroom. Officers spoke with the juvenile and advised them to cease the behavior and advised the caller to contact officers if the behavior continues.
— Officers responded to the 800 block of Fair Avenue at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a suspicious man. The caller advised that a man had knocked on her door asking for money. After being denied money, they left the area. Officers checked the area for the man but were unable to locate him.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of North Howard Avenue at 9:18 a.m. Tuesday to assist the fire department with a medical call. The family members who had called for the patient also expressed concerns that the heat in the building was not working. It was found that the heat was not working, but that the landlord was correcting the issue. The patient involved was transported to an appropriate medical facility.
Leetonia
— Police investigated an open 911 alarm at 9:27 a.m. Dec. 30 in the 100 block of Walnut Street. The adult recovered the phone from a child and was warned about possible criminal charges if an officer returned in the future for a third time.
— Officers responded at 8:30 p.m. Dec. 29 to an alarm drop at the Leetonia Market to find no sign of forced entry and all doors and windows still secure.
