— Officers responded to the 300 block of West Eighth Street at 3:33 a.m. Monday for a reported barking dog complaint. The caller advised that a dog was on the front porch of a neighbor’s home barking as if it needed inside. Contact was made with the owner by phone who immediately responded to the house to get the dog back inside.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of Summit Street at 12:09 a.m. Sunday for a menacing report. The caller advised that they had received a call from an unknown person who stated they were going to shoot their house if they did not get paid.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of Prospect Street at 9:16 p.m. Sunday for a reported neighbor dispute regarding snow being pushed onto the caller’s property by a third party. Officers attempted to speak with the person next door and ask them to remedy the snow problem, but the parties involved do not get along, and no compromises could be made. Officers asked them to try to get along and advised them that due to the volume of snow that needed to be dealt with, no action would be taken that evening.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Rose Avenue at 9:10 p.m. Sunday to assist animal control with a follow-up investigation. The dog owner was re-advised of the time limit for dogs to be outside during the snow emergency based on current weather conditions, and a warning was issued.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West Eighth Street at 6:48 p.m. Sunday to assist the humane agent. The residents were advised to bring their dogs inside the residence due to the winter storm.

— Officers responded to the 2300 block of East State Street at 6:21 p.m. Sunday for a reported civil matter. The caller advised that the mother of his child refused to turn over their son in accordance with the custody agreement. The caller advised that the was an ongoing issue and wanted the matter documented. Information was collected on all parties involved, and the incident will be documented for reference in civil court.

— Officers assisted several stuck motorists in locations across the city Sunday, assisting them to free their vehicles and get back on their way.

— Officers responded to the 1100 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 4:03 p.m. Sunday for a wellness check. Officers were unable to make contact at the residence.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of West Fourth Street at 3:38 p.m. Sunday for a wellness check and found the resident to be in need of medical attention. Officers and the fire department forced entry into the residence and provided assistance to the resident.

— Officers on patrol in the area of Broadway Avenue at 3:17 p.m. Sunday observed a possible waterline break. Dispatch notified the water department.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of Fair Avenue at 10:56 a.m. Sunday for a reported water line break. Officers located the break and the water department was notified.

— Officers spoke to a person by phone at 10:46 a.m. Sunday for a report of harassment. The caller advised that two juvenile females were bullying her daughter on social media. Officers were able to obtain the names of the juveniles and advised the caller to block them on social media, and that the matter would be forwarded to the school resource officer.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 9:16 a.m. Sunday for a reported runaway. Officers located the juvenile in question walking on Bentley Drive and transported the juvenile back to their residence.

— Officers responded to the 800 block of South Lundy Avenue at 5:55 a.m. Sunday for a noise complaint. No violations were observed.

— Officers responded to the 1400 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 2:23 a.m. Sunday for a report of possible shots fired. The caller advised that it sounded like there was a gun shit in their backyard. Officers checked the property and located a large limb that had broken off from a pine tree, causing the noise.

— Officers responded to the 1600 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 1:07 a.m. Sunday to assist Perry Township officers in investigating a possible OVI.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of East State Street at 7:54 p.m. Saturday for a report of a person throwing a bottle at the back door of a business. Officers spoke with the employee who explained that there was no damage, but the manager wanted the matter documented.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Walnut Street at 5:15 p.m. Saturday for a report of criminal trespass. The caller advised that they had video of a person who had previously been trespassed on their property. Officers located the person in question, Kayla Clingerman, 49, standing on the front porch of another residence in the area and took her into custody charged with trespassing and transported them to the Columbiana County Jail.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of West Fifth Street at 2 a.m. Saturday for a report of suspicious activity. The caller advised that it looked like someone was attempting to break into a vehicle. Officers searched the area, but nobody was located and all vehicles in the area were okay.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of Woodland Avenue at 12:30 a.m. Saturday for a reported 911 hang up call. Contact was made and it was found that a juvenile had accidentally called.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West Fourth Street Friday for an alleged theft of a large sum of money won on a cell-phone lottery. The caller advised that a guest at their house had transferred the money to themselves and left. There was nothing shown on scene to validate the claim, and the caller appeared to be heavily intoxicated and was unable to operate their phone to show officers what exactly was missing. Officers advised them to locate the app or whatever was used to display proof that money was taken, and it will be investigated further.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of East Fifth Street at 8:55 p.m. Friday for a reported pending investigation. The statement was collected and forwarded to the investigating officer via the department’s mailbox.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Rose Avenue at 8:39 p.m. Friday to assist Animal Control. Officers spoke with the owner of the dog in question.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 7:01 p.m. Friday for a report of possible fraud. The caller advised that it had been determined that the matter was not fraud and everything was okay.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West Eighth Street at 5:50 p.m. Friday for a report of a dog which had been sitting outside and had injuries from the cold. A juvenile in the residence was contacted to recover the dog and instead of taking it inside asked who had called and yelled profanity at the officer but took it inside afterwards. The matter will be referred to the Humane Agent, and officers advised that any further incidents would result in arrest for whomever left the dog out.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of Ohio Avenue at 5:05 p.m. Friday for a reported runaway juvenile. The caller advised that the juvenile may have gone to a friend’s house near the former Sparkle. The juvenile was located in the 500 block of Walnut Street and transported back to their residence.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Newgarden Avenue at 1:11 p.m. Friday for a reported dispute between two truck drivers. Officers spoke with the parties involved and it was determined to be a dispute over how the trucks were parked. Officers advised them of their options for dealing with the situation.

— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 12:43 p.m. Friday about a situation concerning a person who lives at their residence. Officers provided them with options for dealing with the situation.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of East Eighth Street at 10:08 a.m. Friday for a wellness check. Officers were familiar with a family member of the person in question who advised that they were fine.

— Officers responded to the area of North Union Avenue at 8:05 a.m. Friday for a reported juvenile complaint. Officers were advised that a young juvenile was walking in the roadway. Officers checked the area but did not have any contact with any juveniles.
