LISBON–In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a Lisbon man was sentenced to jail for threatening officers while being released from an OVI charge.
Seth Johnson, 35, Guy Road, Lisbon, was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 150 days suspended, two years of probation, 40 hours of community service, and fined $1,415 for menacing amended from aggravated menacing, OVI and reasonable control for threatening officers while being released for an OVI charge in the Lisbon Police Department parking lot on Sept. 24.
Jeffrey Laroche, 56, East March Street, East Palestine, was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 173 days suspended and credit for seven days served, two years of probation, 40 hours of community service, and fined $300 for assault amended from domestic violence for pushing his girlfriend to the ground causing them to strike their head, and later in the evening punching her in the face on Sept. 22 in East Palestine.
Courtney Sofaly, 23, Harvey Avenue, East Liverpool, was sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 30 suspended, two years of probation, 25 hours of community service and fined $250 for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for clawing another household member leaving a scratch with welts on their right arm on June 25 in East Liverpool.
Scott Haney, 38, Lee Street, East Liverpool, was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 90 days suspended, two years of probation, 20 hours of community service, ordered to have no contact with the victim, and fined $400 for criminal damaging and disorderly conduct amended from menacing. The charge of criminal endangering stems from an incident on April 26 when he punched a glass door, causing the glass to break, at a business in East Liverpool. The charge of disorderly conduct stems from a traffic stop on a family member of Haney during which he threatened to punch an officer in the face over speaker phone on April 27.
Angel Gonzalez, 19, Park Drive, Salem, was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 26 days suspended and credit for drivers’ intervention, two years of probation, and 40 hours of community service and was fined $350 for underage OVI and reckless operation, with an additional charge of underage consumption dismissed. Gonzalez’s vehicle was observed traveling at an excessively high rate of speed on East State Street before crashing in the parking lot of Dunkin Doughnuts with several open containers of alcoholic beverages located in the vehicle on Oct. 10 in Salem.
Cady Milliron, 31, Fifth Street, East Liverpool, was fined $350 for theft failing to scan and pay for 14 items totaling $80.41 at Walmart in Saint Clair Township on Oct. 10.
Timothy Neal Jr., 24, Independence Square, Wellsville, was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 87 days suspended and credit for three days in driver intervention, 20 hours of community service, fined $1,150 for expired plate, driving under suspension, OVI, and speeding.
Joseph Yoman, 22, Hillsville Road, Edinburgh, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 177 suspended, and credit for three days of driver’s intervention, two years of probation, 35 hours of community service, had his license suspended for 180 days and fined $1,050 for physical control amended from OVI and reasonable control.
Jonathan Lagone, 23, Ohio Avenue, Salem, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
A pretrial and preliminary hearing were set Jan. 26 for Donald Smith, 66, Spiedel Road, Lisbon charged with third-degree felony OVI, and open container.
A pretrial was set March 30 for Santana Garcia, 27, West Fourth Street, East Liverpool, charged with assault for allegedly striking another woman in the face at a business in Lisbon on Nov. 29.
A pretrial was set March 23 for Emma Weyand, 45, Samuel Street, East Liverpool, charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a glass pipe with burnt residue in her purse during a search of her person after attempting to leave Walmart in Salem with a cart full of merchandise without paying and using the cart to push an employee attempting to stop them out of the way on Dec. 24.
A pretrial was set March 24 for James Rhodes, 45, Pohls Road, Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly arranging to meet with an undercover agent in the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force for sexual acts in exchange for currency in East Palestine on Jan. 1 and possessing the cell phone used to arrange the criminal acts at that time.
A pretrial was set March 31 for Caitlin Dunn, 27, Ambrose Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with falsification for allegedly claiming that a wanted person was not present in her East Liverpool residence, whom officers observed looking out of a window before being located running from the rear of the residence. After being read her Miranda rights Grant allegedly admitted that the wanted person had been in the residence since midnight and that she had told them police were outside on Oct. 12.
A pretrial was set March 31 for Clyde Hunt, 54, Saint Clair Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set March 30 for Matthew Berger, 48, King Road, Salem, charged with failure to stop at an accident and reasonable control.
A pretrial was set March 24 for Zaine Husk, 27, County Road 42, Toronto, charged with driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set March 30 for Richard Allison, 34, Walnut Street, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set March 25 for Madeline Vutuc, 23, Bentwillow Lane, Youngstown, charged with speeding.
A pretrial was set March 31 for Gloria Flaherty, 51, Birch Road, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension.
