— Officers responded to the 600 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 12:14 a.m. Tuesday for a wellness check. The caller advised that his neighbor’s car door was left open, and due to their age, they were concerned. Officers spoke with the person in question, who advised that he was okay and just forgot to shut the door.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Fourth Street at 9:30 p.m. Monday for a wellness check. Officers spoke with the person in question who advised that they did not need any assistance.
— Officers responded to the 2800 block of East State Street at 6 p.m. Monday for a report of theft. Officers were advised that a person had not scanned several items at the self-checkout totaling $34.07 in value. Officers collected information and the person, whose name was not listed, was advised that they would be issued a court summons for theft.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of East Sixth Street at 3:48 p.m. Monday for a reported hit and skip. The caller advised that a vehicle had struck the mirror of his parked vehicle while traveling eastbound. Officers documented the damage and provided the caller with a report number.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of South Lundy Avenue at 3:19 p.m. Monday for a reported neighbor dispute. Officers spoke with the involved parties and determined the issue was a verbal dispute over a parking issue. Officers advised the involved parties of the options for dealing with the situation.
— Officers responded to the 400 block of Franklin Avenue at 11:56 a.m. Monday for a wellness check. Officers spoke with the person in question who advised that he was having some medical issues and first responders and an ambulance were called to the scene to assess the man.
— Officers on patrol in the 1000 block of Cleveland Street at 9:41 a.m. Monday observed a juvenile playing in the roadway. Officers spoke with the juvenile’s mother and advised her of the issue.
— Officers on patrol in the area of West Wilson Street at 9:20 a.m. Monday observed a man walking down the middle of the train tracks. Officers spoke with the man, who advised he was just walking to work, and officers advised him to stay off the tracks and find a different route to work.
