— Officers responded to the 2500 block of Bentley Drive at 4:46 p.m. Monday for a report of a possible assault. The caller advised they had been hit by a motorized wheelchair. Officers spoke with the other party who advised he asked the caller to move multiple times as he was trying to get away from another incident taking place. The caller advised they did not want to pursue any possible charges.

— Officers responded to the area of East State Street and North Lincoln Avenue at 4:14 p.m. Monday for a wellness check. The caller advised there was a juvenile standing on the sidewalk crying. Officers found that the juvenile had gotten lost while selling items for a fundraiser, and the juvenile was given a ride back to his residence.

— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 2:09 p.m. Monday regarding his estranged wife and minor child. Officers provided options for dealing with the situation.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of West Fifth Street at 1:08 p.m. Monday for a reported abandoned vehicle. Officers located the vehicle in question and found it was listed as stolen out of another jurisdiction. It was towed from the scene.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Seventh Street at 6:42 a.m. Monday for a person with an active warrant. Officers were unable to speak with the person in question.

Sheriff’s Office

— Deputies were dispatched at 2:46 a.m. Saturday to Water Street, Salineville for a welfare check on a woman. Dispatch advised the caller was Veteran Crisis Line, who received a third-party call with limited information on the woman. Deputies spoke with the homeowner who said they did not know the woman and she did not live there.

— An alarm was reported at 1:41 a.m. Saturday at the maintenance building at the Rogers Flea Market and Auctions, old state Route 154, Elkrun Township. All doors were secure.

— Deputies responded at 8:51 p.m. Friday to the Tobin juvenile detention center on County Home Road, Lisbon to assist with a combative juvenile. When deputies arrived, staff advised the juvenile was back in his cell. Deputies spoke to him and he was very hostile. The supervisor present at Tobin said he could stay in his cell until he calmed down and deputies were told they could clear the scene.

— A deputy at 9:09 p.m. Friday returned a call to a Center Township resident on state Route 517 who said he believed the CIA was sending signals to his brain. He was asked if he needed any medical attention and he said no and that the problems weren’t serious. He just wanted a report on file.

— An assault was reported at 10:22 p.m. March 10 at the Traveler’s Inn, state Route 45, Center Township, where the victim reported a woman grabbed her by the collar of her shirt, she pushed her away and then the woman continued to grab the victim by the hair while pulling her down. The victim then punched her in the nose. The woman was also seen attempting to flatten the tires on the victim’s car with a pair of scissors and beat the hood, causing dents. A warrant was issued for her arrest for assault and criminal damaging.

— A woman on Adams Road, Unity Township at 5:50 p.m. March 10 reported a domestic violence incident at a residence on state Route 170, Middleton Township. A warrant for domestic violence and aggravated menacing was issued out of Columbiana County Municipal Court for the man.

— Deputies were dispatched at 3:18 p.m. March 10 to Madison Township for a stolen vehicle, learning that St. Clair Township Police located the vehicle on East Liverpool Road north of Smith Ferry Road. The victim was requested to continue to that location to complete the stolen vehicle report and take custody of the vehicle. The suspect was detained by St. Clair officers, who was sitting in the driver’s seat when they arrived. During questioning by deputies about the stolen vehicle, the report said it became apparent that she lied during the questioning. The victim arrived and identified the suspect as the person who took her vehicle and did not have permission. Tina Piatt, 54, Newell, W.Va., was taken into custody and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of a drug abuse instrument and obstructing official business. Two smoking pipes and various drug paraphernalia were obtained during the investigation.

— A deputy responded at 5:45 p.m. March 8 to Lakeview Drive, Hanover Township, regarding an open 911 line. The deputy was unable to make contact with anyone at the residence.
