— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 2:33 p.m. for a report of fraud. They advised that a person who they are the power of attorney for had been contacted by someone claiming to be from Apple software the day prior and had given them personal information and bank information. The caller advised that no money was missing yet but they needed a report on file.

— The school resource officer was advised by school administrators that a student had broken his leg at recess at 12:39 p.m. Thursday. The fire department and EMT responded and transported the student to the Salem Regional Medical Center by EMT.

— Officers responded to the 1700 block of East Third Street at 12:19 p.m. Thursday for a report of a woman having a possible mental health crisis. Officers spoke with the woman in question, who agreed to be seen at the hospital. The fire department and EMT responded and transported her to an appropriate medical facility for further evaluation.

— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 11:11 a.m. Thursday for a report of harassment. The caller advised that there had been ongoing issues with a man that used to work for them and that the man had followed them in a vehicle and after getting in front of them began deliberately slowing down and brake checking them

— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Pershing Street at 10:23 a.m. Thursday for a wellness check. Officers spoke with the woman in question, who was okay, and advised her of the caller’s concerns.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 8:02 a.m. Thursday for a parking complaint. Officers observed that the vehicle had its hazard lights on and belonged to a lawn care company mowing a yard.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Legacy Lane at 7:36 a.m. Thursday for a reported suspicious person. Officers spoke with a juvenile who advised they ran away from home and Perry Township officers arrived and advised they had been searching for the juvenile and that their mother was on the way.
