Sheriff’s Office

— A man from King Road, Butler Township reported at 8:22 p.m Friday that he parked his semi truck in a parking lot in the 600 block of Valley Road, Butler Township, when someone spun their tires and stuff was all over his semi truck. He reported no damage at this time.

— A man from Parkview Drive, Center Township reported at 7:33 p.m. Friday that an unknown woman was trespassing on his property, but when told to leave, she did.

— A woman on Salem Grange Road, Salem Township reported at 3:57 p.m. Friday that an Alliance man has property at her residence and will not come to get it when she is home.

— A man on Franklin Avenue, Salem reported at 3:16 p.m. Friday that he was in a property dispute with his sister, of Creek Road, Unity Township, due to both their names being on the deed of her residence. He was told to contact an attorney.

— A deputy was dispatched at 6:40 p.m. Thursday to Depot Road at Sell Road, Center Township, for a woman lying in the ditch. A deputy made contact with the woman, who was walking and fine. She was given a courtesy transport to her residence on Lisa Lane, Center Township.

— A man on Rose Drive, Center Township called at 4:47 p.m. Thursday to request a welfare check on his brother, also Rose Drive, Center Township. A deputy spoke with him and he said he was fine and will call his brother.

— A caller for Lincoln Way Storage, East Liverpool Road, Madison Township reported at 4:33 p.m. Thursday that a man from St. Clair Township was on the property causing a disturbance with a woman and they wanted him off of the property. He left before deputies arrived.

— A woman from Township Line Road, Madison Township reported a case of fraud at 3:44 p.m. Thursday, saying that the deed to her residence was transferred to Largemouth Rei LLCon April 13. She contacted an attorney.

Highway Patrol

— The driver of a box truck who crashed on state Route 45 in Salem Township at 8:18 a.m. Thursday and resulted in the road being closed for short time was cited for reasonable control after driving off of the side of the road, striking a culvert, utility pole, two mailboxes and then went down an embankment, overturning and striking another utility pole. Justin A. Mitchell, 27, Bandy Road, Alliance, was transported by Leetonia EMS to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown for suspected minor injuries.

Salem

— Officers spoke with a woman at the police department at 4:04 a.m. Sunday who reported having a dispute with the father of her children and wanted an officer to accompany her to retrieve the children. Officers determined that the woman is staying with their mother in Perry Township and that the children were staying at their apartment with their father in East Liverpool. Officers advised that they would need to contact the East Liverpool Police Department regarding any issues with the father not letting her back into the apartment or refusing her custody of the children.

— Officers on patrol in the 300 block of West State Street at 10:20 p.m. Sunday for a report of telecommunications harassment. The caller was advised to ask the person to cease contacting them and to block their number.

— Officers responded to the first block of Elm Avenue at 10:02 p.m. Sunday for a report of two people allegedly playing chicken on the train tracks with passing trains. They were found to be doing so for fun, not self-harm, and were advised to stay off the tracks and not return to the area.

— Officers responded with the fire department and EMT to the 500 block of East School Street at 9:45 p.m. Sunday for a reported medical call. The person in question was unconscious and unresponsive, and the fire department and EMT began assisting the person and then transported them to the hospital for further treatment.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of East Fourth Street at 9:44 p.m. Sunday for a reported noise complaint. The caller advised the residents playing the music to keep it down for the night.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of East Third Street at 9:32 p.m. Sunday for a reported neighbor dispute. The caller advised that a person was taking pictures of her tractor and was standing in the alleyway. The person never came onto the caller’s property, but officers spoke with them, and they agreed to leave the caller alone.

— Officers responded to the 1300 block of Robin Avenue at 8:43 p.m. Sunday for a report of two individuals in a verbal altercation over their children fighting. At one point one of the people threatened to assault the other, and the caller just wanted the matter documented. Officers spoke with the person who made the threats and advised them to stay away from the other party.

— Officers on patrol in the 800 block of Sunset Boulevard at 7:31 p.m. Sunday stopped two e-scooter operators that were violating the city’s scooter ordinance and educated them on the rules.

— Officers responded with the fire department to the 500 block of Deming Street at 3:39 p.m. Sunday for a reported dog bite. Officers spoke with the person involved and an adult woman was transported to the emergency room by ambulance.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue at 2:15 p.m. Sunday for a report of possible menacing. The caller advised that a man had threatened them and that they just wanted the matter documented at that time.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of East Third Street at 1 p.m. Sunday for a wellness check. Officers were unable to contact the person in question.

— Officers responded to the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue at 11:55 a.m. Sunday for a reported 911 hang-up call. Officers spoke with the residents and determined that a juvenile had an old phone and had been using it to dial 911. Officers spoke with the juvenile’s mother and advised her of the situation.

— Officers responded to the 1400 block of Cleveland Street at 11:26 a.m. Sunday for a report of criminal trespassing. Officers spoke with the caller who advised that several unknown people had been in their yard in the early morning hours. Officers advised them of their options for dealing with the situation.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of West Tenth Street at 9:37 a.m. Sunday for a report that someone unknown to them had shot the side of their truck. The caller advised that they were unsure of the exact location of the incident. Officers advised them of their options for dealing with the situation.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of East Third Street at 9:04 a.m. Sunday for a reported dispute. The caller advised that their ex was yelling at them from a nearby house. Officers spoke with the ex and who advised the caller was harassing them. Officers advised both to cease all further contact.

— Officer responded to the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue at 7:39 a.m. Sunday for a report of a vehicle involved in a hit and skip. Officers spoke with the driver, Angel Santay, 19, Salem, who admitted to consuming alcohol while under the legal age. Santay was issued a citation for underage consumption.

— Officers responded to the area of Brooklyn Avenue at 2:41 a.m. Sunday for a report of juveniles running between houses and screaming. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate anything.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Pershing Street at 10:21 p.m. Saturday for a reported fight. Officers spoke with people that were involved in a small verbal altercation inside a business. No injuries occurred, and the other party had already left, and the other individuals left with no issue.

— Officers responded to the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue at 6:15 p.m. Saturday for a reported 911 hang-up call. Dispatch advised that a young child was dialing emergency services from his mother’s cell phone while she was sleeping. Contact was made with the mother, and everything was determined to be okay.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of East Third Street at 1:49 p.m. Saturday for a reported hit and skip. The caller advised that they came outside and found that their vehicle had been struck. Officers observed the paint transfer and documented the damage and provided the caller with a report number.

— Officers responded to the 1900 block of Whinnery Road at 12:15 p.m. Saturday for a wellness check. Officers spoke with the juvenile, who stated that he was fine.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of East State Street at 11:48 a.m. Saturday for a reported dispute. Officers spoke with the people involved and resolved the issue.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of South Ellsworth Avenue at 10:01 a.m. Saturday for a reported breaking and entering. The caller advised that sometime during the week someone had broken in and attempted to light one of the machines on fire as well as dump out paint and tar. Officers documented the damage and advised that a report would be made.

— Officers responded to the area of West Pershing Street and Howard Avenue at 9:53 a.m. Saturday for a reported reckless operator. Officers located the vehicle in question traveling north on North Ellsworth and followed it for several blocks without seeing any violations. Officers spoke with the driver of the vehicle, and they were advised of the complaint.

— Officers on patrol in the 400 block of Arch Street at 8:06 a.m. Saturday for a reported water line break. The water department was advised.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue at 2:42 a.m. Saturday for a reported dispute. Officers spoke with a woman playing loud music and arguing. Both were advised to shut the music down and speak quietly. There was no violence nor threats of harm.

— Officers responded to the 1900 block of Whinnery Road at 12:14 a.m. Saturday for a reported juvenile issue. The juvenile was located and returned to the residence. Officers were able to resolve the matter for the night and advised the residents to call back if there are any further issues.

— Officers responded to the area of East Pershing Street at 11:55 p.m. Friday for a reported suspicious person. The caller advised that a person with a flashlight was walking in the area. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate anyone.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of West Wilson Street at 7:14 p.m. Friday for a report of trespassing. The caller advised that their estranged husband, against whom they have a restraining order, was in their home. Officers spoke with both parties and that husband advised that he is permitted to be at the residence during times his wife would not be there, and the caller’s court paperwork was found to be invalid. The husband was provided a ride to his sister’s residence and advised to set up a time to gather the rest of his belongings from the residence at a later time.

— Officers responded to the area of Highland Avenue and East Third Street at 6:20 p.m. Friday for reports of juveniles shooting some form of plastic pellets at motorists. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate them.

— While working a school event at Sebo Stadium, officers were advised of possible criminal mischief involving a student from another school at 5:19 p.m. Friday. Officers spoke with the student, their school’s administration and their coach, and the incident was found to be accidental. The student was removed from the event, and their school’s administration advised they would provide officers with the student’s information on Monday.

— Officers responded to the area of Continental Drive and Lexington Avenue at 5:04 p.m. Friday for a reported suspicious person. Officers were unable to locate anyone suspicious in the area.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of West Ninth Street at 4:24 p.m. Friday for a reported domestic incident. Daniel Rudibaugh, 36, Salem, was found to be the primary aggressor and was arrested and transported to the Columbiana County Jail.

— Officers responded to the 1500 block of Southeast Boulevard at 1:56 p.m. Friday for a wellness check. Officers attempted to contact the person in question by phone unsuccessfully.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of Park Avenue at 10:57 a.m. Friday for a reported suspicious person. Officers checked the area and located the person in question on near Maple Street. Officers spoke with the man and advised them of the options.

–Officers responded to the 500 block of Franklin Avenue at 7:49 a.m. Friday for a reported suspicious person. Officers spoke with the man in question and he left the area.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Franklin Street at 4:57 a.m. Friday for an unknown issue. The caller advised that a friend had borrowed their vehicle and when it was returned it appeared to have been rummaged through, and that while nothing seemed to be missing, they wanted a report on file.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of West 16th Street at 10:22 p.m. Thursday for a reported dispute. The caller advised their father punched a hole in their door and broke it down. Officers spoke with both parties and were advised that the confrontation was verbal only. Both parties were advised to stay separated for the night.

— Officers spoke with a person at the police department at 9:14 p.m. Thursday for a report of fraud. The caller advised they were scammed out of money after getting an alert on their computer. The caller was advised to contact their bank and report the matter.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of West State Street at 6:14 p.m. Thursday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised that a person was menacing them. Officers advised them that they would investigate the matter.

— Officers responded to the 1600 block of East State Street at 5:17 p.m. Thursday for a report of menacing. Officers collected information about the incident, and the caller advised they just wanted a report for documentation purposes.

— Officers responded to the 2800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue at 4:54 p.m. Thursday for a report of two juveniles on the railroad tracks. Officers checked the entire area on foot, but nobody was observed.

— Officers responded to a business in the 2800 block of East State Street at 4:02 p.m. Thursday for a reported theft. Officers were advised that the lock had been cut off the container for used cooking oil and that oil had been removed. Photographs were taken and the matter is under investigation.

— Officers responded to the area of West State Street at 3:28 p.m. Thursday for a reported reckless operator. Officers spoke with the driver and did not observe any signs of impairment. Officers advised them to exercise more caution when driving.

— Officers responded to the 1800 block of Bentley Drive at 6:57 a.m. Thursday for a report of menacing. The caller advised they had a verbal altercation with a family member, and that the family member had threatened them. Officers took a statement from the caller and advised them that the other party would be contacted for their side of the story.
