Salem
— Officers took a report of threats in the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 2:11 a.m. Saturday. Officers gathered information and it will be forwarded for review for potential charges.
— Several people refusing to leave were reported at a business in the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 1:54 a.m. Saturday. Officers advised them to leave and trespassed two men.
— Officers on patrol located a vehicle in Centennial Park after hours at 11:11 p.m. Friday. Officers advised the driver of the park hours, and they advised they would leave.
— Officers on patrol located a vehicle in Centennial Park after hours at 11:07 p.m. Friday. Officers advised the driver of the park hours, and they advised they would leave.
— A 911 hang-up call was reported in the 1200 block of East Third Street at 10:58 p.m. Friday. Officers were advised that everyone in the home was okay.
— A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 900 block of East State Street at 8:33 p.m. Friday. Officers located the vehicle and the driver advised they were just waiting for a friend and they were sent on their way.
— Officers assisted in restraining an irate patient in the 1900 block of East State Street at 7:51 p.m. Friday.
— Officers checked the 400 block of Sharp Avenue for a wanted person at 6:40 p.m. Friday. Officers were unable to locate them.
— Officers checked on a woman reported pacing around barefoot in the 900 block of East State Street at 3:41 p.m. Friday. The woman advised that they did not need any assistance, and officers did not observe any abnormal behavior.
— Officers assisted the fire department and EMT with a medical call in the 2500 block of Bentley Drive at 1:58 p.m. Friday.
— Officers took a report of fraud in the 2100 block of Monroe Street at 1:36 p.m. Friday. The caller advised that they had sent money to an unknown person before discovering it was a scam, and that they needed a police report for the company handling the fraudulent activity.
— A suspicious person was reported at Sebo Stadium at 12:25 p.m. Friday. Officers watched security camera footage of the incident and will continue to investigate the incident.
— A person reported receiving threatening messages in the 100 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 12:15 p.m. Friday. The messages were reviewed and found to be threatening, but the caller requested to remain anonymous and not pursue charges.
— Officers assisted the Perry Township Police Department by checking a woman for weapons in the 1700 block of West State Street at 11:35 a.m. Friday. Officers searched the woman and found no weapons.
— A juvenile was seen wandering around in the 100 block of West Tenth Street at 6:26 a.m. Friday. Further investigation found that officers had dealt with the juvenile earlier in the night, and they had safely been transported home.
— Officers gave an elderly patient a ride home in the 1900 block of East State Street at 4:56 a.m. Friday.
— A man was reported to be asking customers in the drive-thru of a business for a ride home and screaming when denied in the 1800 block of East State Street at 12:26 a.m. Friday. The man advised officers that he had just been released from the hospital and was just trying to get home, and officers gave them a courtesy transport home.
— An assault was reported at a business in the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 11:56 p.m. Thursday. The victim had been struck in the mouth, causing a cut inside their mouth, and advised that they wanted to pursue charges. The matter is under investigation. The victim had previously been involved in an issue at the business and was trespassed from the property at the manager’s request.
— A man was reported lying in the street and yelling in the 300 block of West Eighth Street at 10:25 p.m. Thursday. Officers observed a man fall off a motorized scooter and he was subsequently transported to the Salem Regional Medical Center by EMT, and the scooter was returned to his residence.
— A protection order violation was reported in the 700 block of West Wilson Street at 9:26 p.m. Thursday. The caller advised that a person with a protection order against them had been following him around and requested the matter be documented for future purposes. The caller was also advised to contact the court.
— An allegedly missing juvenile was reported in the area of West State Street at 8:52 p.m. Thursday. Dispatch contacted the sheriff’s office that the juvenile had supposedly been reported missing by, which had no knowledge of the matter.
— A juvenile was reported chasing geese and yelling at adults that told them to stop at Waterworth Memorial Park at 8:16 p.m. Thursday. Officers located the juveniles and advised them to stop.
— A person was reported acting strangely and allegedly exposing themselves outside of a business in the 400 block of East State Street at 6:50 p.m. Thursday. The person denied the allegation and was advised to stay away from the business.
— Officers checked the area of East State Street and Southeast Boulevard at 4:07 p.m. Thursday for a reported two-vehicle accident but were unable to locate it. Officers spoke with workers in the area who advised they had not seen anything.
— Officers assisted the housing department with a person allegedly living in a camper in the 500 block of East Third Street at 10 a.m. Thursday. The owner of the camper advised that it was being moved in a few hours.
Leetonia
— Kelly McGath, 57, Leetonia, was cited for driving under suspension after her license was found to be suspended after her vehicle ran out of gas on Chestnut Street at 3:23 p.m. May 18.
— A juvenile was observed sliding out on gravel while riding their bike in the 94000 block of state Route 45 by an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper at 8:58 p.m. May 17. Officers checked the juvenile, who had minor scratches on their arm, and their parents were advised of the incident, and the juvenile was returned home.
— A lock was reported to have been taken off a coin deposit box at a business in the 200 block of Columbia Street at 6:06 p.m. May 17. Officers located the lock and advised the realty company’s agent on call of the matter.
— Officers checked on an open 91l line in the 500 block of Main Street at 10:24 p.m. May 16. Officers spoke with all patrons, who advised they had not called.
— Officers assisted an elderly resident with a pipe break at their residence in the 400 block of Columbia Street at 4:38 a.m. May 16. Officers shut the water off and temporarily fixed the pipe.
