Salem
— Shane Laflame, Ravenna, was cited for hit skip following a two-vehicle crash in the 2300 block of East State Street at 8:29 a.m. Friday. No injuries were reported.
— Officers responded to the Salem Regional Medical Center at 11:56 p.m. Thursday in reference to a report of rape. The information was forwarded to the detective division.
— Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 11:14 p.m. Thursday in reference to teenagers attempting of enter through a window. Officers were unable to find anyone.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of North Howard Avenue at 6:33 p.m. Thursday where a resident found Salem police auxiliary uniforms and a police badge in her son’s room. The matter is under investigation.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of Cedar Street at 9:34 a.m. Thursday in reference to an ongoing dispute between neighbors. Officers advised both parties to not communicate with each other.
— Daniel Lee Shoaff, North Howard Avenue, Salem, was charged with public indecency after officers responded to Centennial Park at 4:02 a.m. Thursday in reference to someone walking through the park and found him in a pavilion with his pants down.
— An officer responded to the a 2800 block East State Street business at 6:39 p.m. Wednesday in reference to two separate incidents in which a woman stole items from the store. The officer watched video of the incidents and was able to identify the woman. A warrant was issued for the woman’s arrest.
— An officer responded to the 1500 block of East Third Street at 3:41 p.m. Wednesday in reference to a package totaling $38 being stolen.
— Officers responded to the area of Hawley Avenue and Cleveland Street at 3:02 p.m. Wednesday in reference to a juvenile who had been assaulted by another juvenile. The incident is under investigation.
— Charles Edward Dalton, 87, Derr Avenue, Beloit, was cited for assured clear distance ahead following at two-vehicle crash on West State Street and Dodge Drive at 8:19 a.m. Wednesday in which he was eastbound and failed stop for traffic, striking the rear of a vehicle driven by Karen S. Butler, 70, East Michigan Avenue, Sebring. No injuries were reported.
