Salem
— Officers checked several locations around the city Friday for reported fireworks. Nobody setting off fireworks was located.
— A man threatening to physically assault people was reported in the 500 block of Continental Drive at 5:44 p.m. Friday. Officers spoke with all parties involved, who declined to pursue any criminal charges, and the man left the residence for the remainder of the evening.
— A dog reportedly escaped a fenced yard and attacked a woman and her dog in the 100 block of West Fourteenth Street at 4:15 p.m. Friday. The woman and their dog were both bitten but did not sustain any injuries and the woman did not want to press charges. Officers also spoke with the owner of the dog that got loose about securing the gate to prevent any future issues.
— Officers on patrol in the 500 block of Walnut Street located a loose dog at 2:47 p.m. Friday. Officers attempted to catch the dog unsuccessfully.
— A possible burglary in progress was reported in the 300 block of East Sixth Street at 2:02 a.m. Friday. Officers searched the area around the home and located no sign of anyone there. Officers advised the caller that all doors were secure and to call if there were any further issues.
— An intoxicated person was reported stepping in and out of the roadway in the 1700 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 11:12 p.m. Thursday. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the person in question.
— Officers assisted staff at the Salem Regional Medical Center with a combative patient at 10:07 p.m. Thursday. Officers stood by while staff treated the person.
— Officers assisted the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office with a combative patient at the Salem Regional Medical Center at 7:37 p.m. Thursday. Officers stood by until they were placed into a room.
— A person to be removed was reported in the 300 block of North Broadway Avenue at 7:21 p.m. Thursday. Officers let the person gather their belongings, and they left willingly.
— Officers spoke with an employee at Salem West Healthcare at 6:35 p.m. Thursday who advised that a new patient had touched her and another employee inappropriately. Officers advised them that a report would be on file about the incident and that contact the facility administration to make them aware of the incident.
— A person was reported hanging out of a truck at a business in the 200 block of West State Street at 6:08 p.m. Thursday. Officers found that the person was a juvenile playing on their phone.
— Officers were advised that a person’s dog had killed a duck at Waterworth Memorial Park at 5:59 p.m. Thursday. The street department was notified.
— Officers checked on a person in the 1000 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 4:39 p.m. Thursday who advised that they had left their house to take a walk and got lost. Officers were able to contact a member of the person’s family who responded to the scene to pick them up.
— Officers on patrol in the 400 block of South Lundy Avenue were approached by a juvenile who advised that their sister had wandered off at 3:36 p.m. Thursday. Officers spoke with the juvenile’s mother who advised that the sister was with her.
— Officers spoke with a person at the police department regarding suspicious activity at 2:03 p.m. Thursday. They advised that their juvenile daughter was sitting in their vehicle when a person in an adjacent vehicle made a strange request.
— A vehicle was reported to have had its tires slashed in the 500 block of Woodland Avenue at 10:07 a.m. Thursday. Officers documented the damage and advised the caller they would be looking into the matter.
Leetonia
— Lorena Cope, no age or address listed, was cited for driving under suspension and expired registration following a traffic stop on Somer Street near Spruce Street at 4:55 p.m. June 3.
— Michael Fowler, no age or address listed, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop at 3:50 p.m. June 3.
Lisbon
— An officer responded to the area of Chestnut and Harrison streets at 7:35 p.m. May 25 in reference to an intoxicated person riding and electric bicycle. The officer found the person to be intoxicated with a cut on his chin and advised him to walk the bike home. The officer followed the person to his home to ensure his safety and advised him to stay home for the night.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of East Washington Street at 4:37 p.m. May 20 in reference to an unconscious man dangling from scaffolding. Officers found that the man had regained consciousness and passers by had stopped to help keep him from falling. Medical personnel responded and assisted the man to the ground, and then transported him to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital-Main in Youngstown.
Columbiana
— Michael R. White, 50, Canfield, was charged with obstructing official business and resisting arrest following an incident at 10:30 p.m. May 29 at the town center in which he was allegedly causing a disturbance.
— Mary A. Bartos, 46, Boardman, was cited for speeding and driving without a valid license following a traffic stop at Springfield Road and East Park Avenue at 5:48 p.m. May 29.
— Christian Shuler, 19, Youngstown, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the 44000 block of state Route 14 at 12:40 a.m. May 29.
— Officers took a report at 1:27 p.m. May 24 of vandalism and theft at the Columbiana Cemetery on East Park Avenue.
— Craig A. Wischerman, 51, Columbiana, was charged with OVI first offense and reasonable control after officers responded to the 500 block of Springfield Road at 10:23 p.m. May 23 in reference to a vehicle that had traveled off the roadway.
— Police observed a person with an active warrant in the 200 block of Pittsburgh Street at 8:02 p.m. May 23. The person fled on foot when officers attempted contact, and the officers were unable to find the person. Additional warrants were issued for the person’s arrest.
— Micalle Familia, 23, Youngstown, was charged with OVI after officers observed Familia passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle in the 44000 block of state Route 14 at 2:54 p.m. May 23.
— Kyle Coke, 32, New Springfield, was cited for expired registration following a traffic stop near South Elm and East Railroad streets at 1:06 p.m. May 23.
— Nevaeh Weidner, 22, Canfield, was arrested on an active warrant out of Columbiana County at 4:59 p.m. May 22 at a 100 block East state Route 14 business.
— Shane Brkovich, Beaver Falls, Pa., was cited for driving without a license following a traffic stop at state routes 14 and 7 at 2 a.m. May 17.
— Sean Ramsey Jr., 31, Wellsville, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear following a traffic stop in the 100 block of North Main Street at 10:43 p.m. May 16.
