— Officers responded to the 700 block of Arch Street at 9:58 p.m. Tuesday for a suspicious person. The caller advised that earlier that afternoon a man claiming to be with Direct TV wanted to enter her residence and requested an extra watch.

— A disorderly person was reported in the 2800 block of East State Street at 7:53 p.m. Tuesday. The caller advised that the driver of a vehicle that was picking up groceries was passed out and that when they woke back up, they became belligerent. Officers spoke with the driver, who was visibly impaired, and waited while the business got their groceries, and a sober driver responded to drive them home.

— An attempted suicide was reported in the 1000 block of Buckeye Avenue at 7:26 p.m. Tuesday. Officers spoke with the person in question, and the fire department and EMT responded and transported them to Alliance Aultman Hospital.

— A possible scam was reported in the 100 block of East Third Street at 6:37 p.m. Tuesday. The caller advised they had given a realtor $900 for an apartment and that they had never shown him the apartment. Officers collected the information and gave the caller a report number to see if they can get the money refunded to them.

— A theft was reported at Centennial Park at 6:02 p.m. Tuesday. The caller advised that someone had taken his speaker and his friends’ purse then rode away on an e-bike. Officers located the three juveniles involved, and their parents were advised of the incident. All property was recovered and returned to its owners, and no charges will be filed.

— Theft was reported at a business in the 2800 block of East State Street at 4:36 p.m. Tuesday. Officers collected information about the products stolen and video footage of the person in question and provided loss prevention with a report number. The matter will be investigated further.

— Criminal damage to a motor vehicle was reported in the 500 block of East Euclid Street at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. The caller advised that someone had smashed the left side mirror of his vehicle and a potential perpetrator. Officers spoke with the person in question, who denied causing the damage. The case will be forwarded to the Columbiana County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
