Salem

— A dispute between juveniles involving broken property was reported in the 1200 block of Robin Avenue at 10:02 p.m. Monday. Officers spoke with the involved parties, and it was agreed that the resolution of the issue could wait until the next day due to it being late at night.

— Brandon Gust, 27, Lisbon, was arrested charged with disorderly conduct and transported to the Columbiana County Jail following medical evaluation at 9:10 p.m. Monday for allegedly kicking the windows of a business, attempting to gain entry into a vehicle that was not theirs in the 200 block of South Broadway Avenue.

— A suspicious person was reported standing on the side of the road surrounded by clothing in the area of South Ellsworth Avenue and East Wilson Street at 8:28 p.m. Monday. Officers spoke with the man, who denied needing any medical attention and advised he was heading to a friend’s residence.

— Fishing poles were reported stolen in the 800 block of North Howard Avenue at 7:03 p.m. Monday. The caller advised they just wanted the matter documented as the poles had been left by a prior resident and held no value. An extra watch was placed in the area, and video surveillance footage from the area was collected.

Highway Patrol

— Two accidents related to the storms on June 14 were reported with no citations issued. Theresa A. Shasteen, 78, Votaw Boulevard, Lisbon, suffered suspected serious injuries and was transported by Winona EMS to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown after a utility pole fell and struck her southbound vehicle on Depot Road at 5:27 p.m. in Butler Township. Zachary W. Taylor, 35, Canfield, was northbound on Fairfield School Road, Elkrun Township at 5:44 p.m. when he struck a tree in the roadway. He wasn’t injured.
