LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set July 1 for Brian Francis Buckley, 33, North Market Street, East Palestine, charged with fourth-degree felony menacing by stalking and misdemeanor disorderly conduct for allegedly approaching another man and threatening to beat him on multiple occasions, including on March 19 and April 22 at the Circle K in East Palestine when he made threats and at one point ran and cut the victim and his children off while they were walking.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set July 1 for Dominic Dwayne Crooms, 27, Summit Drive, Salineville, charged with fourth-degree felony strangulation and misdemeanor domestic violence for allegedly placing his hands around a woman’s neck and squeezing in an attempt of strangulation and striking her in the face, head and body on Feb. 27 in East Liverpool.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set July 1 for Zachary Ricky Lee Cline, 34, Minerva Street, East Liverpool, charged fourth-degree felony burglary and misdemeanors of theft and criminal damaging. Cline allegedly trespassed in a home on June 7 in East Liverpool after previously being evicted, with a door damaged and window broken in the door. On June 23, he allegedly left the Calcutta Walmart without paying for six items totaling $558.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set July 1 for Heather Renee Roberts, 37, Minerva Street, East Liverpool, charged with fourth-degree felony burglary and misdemeanor criminal damaging for allegedly trespassing in a home on June 7 in East Liverpool after previously being evicted. A door frame and window in the home were damaged.
A pretrial was set July 1 for Joshua M. Cloud, 44, Steubenville Pike Road, Lisbon, charged with aggravated menacing and two counts of domestic violence for allegedly threatening to shoot a woman with a shotgun during an argument on March 17 in Center Township, with the shotgun going off as she was running from the home. On June 24 in Lisbon, he struck the woman, which was seen on video and witnessed by bystanders.
Andrew Brian Davis, 42, state Route 45, Lisbon, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 150 days suspended and credit for 28 days served, leaving two days to serve in jail, with 20 hours community service, for assault amended from domestic violence. Davis was ordered to have no contact with the victim. He pushed and shoved a woman and slammed her head in a door on May 26 in Madison Township.
Tyler Heffner, 22, Chester Avenue, Wellsville, was fined $200 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 29 days suspended and credit for one day served, with 40 hours community service ordered, for domestic violence. On June 5 in Wellsville, Heffner can be heard on video threatening a pregnant woman, causing her to believe he would harm her.
A pretrial was set July 1 for James Lee Davisson, 30, Laurel Lane, East Liverpool, charged with assault and intoxication for allegedly hitting another man in the face several times on June 24 in East Liverpool and being intoxicated.
A pretrial was set Aug. 10 for John Paul Peuterbaugh, 51, Woodland Avenue, Salem, charged with violation of a protection order for allegedly calling East Liverpool police to do a welfare check on a protected person on June 21 and also contacting two of the person’s relatives.
A pretrial was set Aug. 25 for Mark Allen Schrecengost, 36, state Route 170, East Palestine, charged with three counts of violate temporary protection order for allegedly being in the proximity of three protected persons on June 17 in East Palestine, with victims showing an investigator a video of Schrecengost dancing in the street and singing to himself, then speaking to victims seated on their own patio.
A pretrial was set July 6 for Ariel L. Durham, 37, Duck Creek Road, Salem, charged with public indecency expose private parts and disorderly conduct for allegedly banging on the door of a residence on Benton Road in Perry Township and breaking out one of the windows of the door, then walking down Benton Road topless with her breast exposed on June 14.
A pretrial was set July 1 for Charles Raymond Lewis, 44, Dresden Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with theft and criminal trespass for allegedly trespassing on the former East Liverpool Motor Lodge property on Dresden Avenue, East Liverpool and stealing wood and tire rings on March 4.
A disorderly conduct charge against Alan Sanders, 69, East Main Street, Washingtonville, was dismissed at the request of the state. The charge stemmed from an incident June 5 in Leetonia when he was allegedly disorderly with a police officer over a conversation the officer had with a relative of Sanders over blowing grass debris onto the officer’s truck.
A pretrial was set Aug. 25 for Tracy L. Sicklesmith, 50, Burrows Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with passing bad checks for allegedly writing bad checks for $150 on Nov. 6, 2023 and June 10, 2024.
Carson Lee Underwood, 23, Toronto, was fined $250 and given a suspended 30-day jail term and 20 hours community service for disorderly conduct. Underwood was ordered to make restitution of $1,500 to the victim through the probation department and to have no contact with the victim. The charge had previously been amended from criminal damaging. Underwood damaged the victim’s vehicle on Dec. 8, 2024.
A pretrial was set Aug. 25 for Kristopher A. Dean, 31, New Springfield, charged with operating a vehicle impaired second offense, operating while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, marked lanes, speeding and open container.
A pretrial was set Aug. 17 for Joshua Christopher Lesko, 23, Pittsburgh, Pa., charged with driving while texting and two counts of OVI.
John Christopher Tucker, 52, Mechanicstown, Hanoverton, was fined $1,075 and given a suspended 180-day jail term and 30 hours community service for reasonable control and physical control amended from OVI. Another OVI charge was dismissed. His license was suspended for one year.
A pretrial was set Aug. 3 for Victoria Rakel Redman, 20, West Sixth Street, East Liverpool, charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a burnt metal pipe during a traffic stop on June 13 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set Aug. 19 for David D. Murtaugh, 38, Wood Alley, East Liverpool, charged with criminal trespass for allegedly trespassing on an abandoned East Liverpool property on June 18.
A pretrial was set Sept. 2 for Ryan E. Williams, 44, Leslie Road, Lisbon, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly injecting himself into a domestic violence investigation while he was a bystander at the scene on June 20 in Madison Township.
A pretrial was set Aug. 31 for Jordan E. Smith, 45, Toronto, charged with drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension, unauthorized plate and improper/expired registration for allegedly possessing a straw with white powder residue and other paraphernalia during a traffic stop on June 21 in St. Clair Township.
Ricardo Gonzalez Jr., 36, Canton, was fined $1,425 and sentenced to 50 days in jail, with credit for 13 days served, leaving a balance of 37 days to serve for merged OVI charges, driving under suspension and two counts of resisting arrest. An obstructing official business charge was dismissed. His license was suspended for two years. During a traffic stop, he ran from the vehicle on June 9 in Salem and on May 23 in Columbiana, an officer saw him at a known drug house and was aware he had active warrants through the Adult Parole Authority, but when approached, he denied his name several times, then attempted to flee, fought the officer and escaped between houses. The traffic charges stemmed from a traffic stop in Rogers in April.
Charles R. Macmillan, 52, Conkle Road, Salem, was fined $100 for failure to control from a May 21 traffic stop, with an OVI dismissed by the prosecutor due to evidentiary issues.
A pretrial was set Aug. 25 for Chad J. Slagle, 53, Maple Street, Salem, charged with OVI second offense, OVI refusal, marked lanes and two counts driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set Sept. 15 for Christian Law, 34, Massillon, charged with operating a vehicle impaired and speeding.
A pretrial was set Aug. 26 for Cody Pfouts, 30, West Pershing Street, Salem, charged with OVI, OVI breath and improper backing.
A pretrial was set Sept. 8 for Angus Howard Cope, 22, Mechanicstown Road, Kensington, charged with OVI, OVI breath and marked lanes.
