Sheriff’s Office

— Deputies responded at 8:43 p.m. Wednesday to Rose Drive, Center Township, for a domestic dispute, advised by both parties that everything was verbal and one party would be leaving. The person leaving received a courtesy ride to the BP on state Route 154 where a friend was picking him up.

— A deputy at 12:20 a.m. July 4 assisted Lisbon Police in recovering stolen bikes on state Route 45, Elkrun Township. Officers were able to identify the people who had stolen the bikes, and then later recovered them. The bikes were returned back to the owners and warrants were issued by Lisbon Police for the people involved.

Highway Patrol

— An unknown driver in a red vehicle was westbound on U.S. Route 62 in Knox Township at 2:46 p.m. July 6 when it traveled left of center and sideswiped an eastbound truck driven by James D. Sellers, 37, Minerva, then fled the scene. Sellers and a passenger were uninjured.

— Melinda K. Speirs, 58, state Route 644, Kensington, escaped injury after her westbound vehicle on U.S. Route 30 struck a tree that fell in the roadway at 10:08 p.m. July 3.

— Logan Leisure, 25, New Cumberland, W.Va., was cited for assured clear distance after his southbound vehicle collided with another southbound vehicle on state Route 7 driven by Kristopher Gamertsfelder, 34, Alliance, at 1:57 p.m. July 3 in Elkrun Township. Leisure and a passenger both suffered suspected minor injuries but were not transported. Gamertsfelder and his passenger were uninjured.

— A northbound vehicle described as a silver Nissan Rogue on Adams Road struck a westbound vehicle driven by Shane M. Hamner, 27, McClure Road, East Palestine, at 5:33 p.m. July 1 in Unity Township and fled the scene. Hamner wasn’t injured.

— Kathryn E. Jones, 40, Hartville, was cited for a stop sign violation after her southbound vehicle attempted a left turn from Knox School Road and struck a westbound vehicle on Georgetown Road at 4:11 p.m. June 28 in Knox Township. Jones suffered a suspected minor injury, but wasn’t transported.

Salem

— Officers responded with the Salem Fire Department to an 1800 block East State Street restaurant at 8:01 a.m. Wednesday in reference to a fire alarm. Officers found the sprinkler system going off, but no smoke or flames. Officers stood by for traffic control while the fire department investigated.

— A Leetonia resident reported at 2:01 a.m. Wednesday his bicycle was stolen while he was visiting a friend at Pershing Street and Howard Avenue.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of East Sixth Street at 12:12 a.m. Wednesday in reference to someone looking into vehicles. Officers found that the person in question had already left the area. Officers advised the complainant to call if the person returned.

— Officers responded to the 1400 block of Maple Street at 10:14 p.m. Tuesday where a resident reported a juvenile had been driving past his home calling his daughter names. Officers advised everyone involved to stay away from each other and avoid each other’s homes.
