LISBON -- A Wellsville man accused of engaging in sexual activity with a 13-year-old earlier this year is facing five counts of sexual battery.
Wayne R. Tate, 51, Broadway Avenue, was served with a secret indictment Thursday in Beaver County. The Columbiana County Grand Jury issued two counts that are second-degree felonies and three counts that are fourth-degree felonies.
According to the indictment, all the charges stem from Tate allegedly engaging in sexual activity with the child victim on Feb. 8 this year.
Also served with secret indictments were:
-- Richard H. Stoddard, 57, Minerva Street, East Liverpool, fifth-degree felonies of aggravated possession of drugs, possession of heroin and possession of a fentanyl-related compound for allegedly possessing methamphetamine, heroin and fentanyl on Jan. 7.
-- Robert Lee Vandyke, 32, Blakely Street, East Liverpool, third-degree felonies of aggravated possession of drugs and aggravated trafficking in drugs for allegedly possessing and preparing for sale methamphetamine on Sept. 19, 20-25 and fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on Aug. 20, 2025.

LISBON -- In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a case against Aaron M. Delo, 33, State Line Road, Negley, was bound over to the county grand jury for breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly posting items for sale on Facebook Marketplace after breaking into the Crestview School under construction on July 13 and stealing tools from inside the building. One of the tools had a victim's handwritten initials on it in black marker and that was one of the items posted for sale. Employees working on the school identified the tools advertised for sale as their own. He was fined $100 and given credit for five days served in jail for criminal trespass for trespassing at a Fairfield Township property on July 1. He was also fined $425 for driving under suspension, expired plate, no license, failure to display valid sticker and expired registration.
A case against Dreyvan Shakore Walton, 29, Lang Street, East Liverpool, was bound over to the county grand jury for failure to comply with an order or signal of a police office, a third-degree felony, for allegedly fleeing from police on a motorcycle while officers were attempting at traffic stop in East Liverpool on July 14. He was fined $100 for unsafe vehicle amended from expired license.
A preliminary hearing was set Aug. 3 for Michael Villegas, 29, Haiti Road, Salineville, charged with domestic violence, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly pushing her while she was gathering her belongings from a Salineville residence on July 24, then hitting her when she was bent down. She is pregnant, which made the charge a felony, an affidavit said.
A preliminary hearing was set July 29 for Ashley Dawn Nelson, 35, Mingo Junction, charged with burglary, a fourth-degree felony, for allegedly being in an East Liverpool residence then fleeing on July 23, found by police hiding in thick brush on the side of a hill.
A pretrial was set Aug. 3 for Allen S. Vancooney, 30, Franklin Avenue, Salem, charged with assault for allegedly punching another inmate in the face as he was exiting his cell in the Columbiana County jail on Feb. 11 while incarcerated.
A pretrial was set July 29 for William T. Poling, 65, Van Buren Avenue, Salem, charged with assault for allegedly grabbing a woman by the arm and striking her during a dispute over mowing grass near her property line when she pointed her finger at him on July 23 in Perry Township.
A pretrial was set Sept. 21 for Sophia J. McDonald, 19, Valley Road, Salem, charged with assault for allegedly slapping a man and grabbing him by the neck as he tried to leave, then striking him with a piece of fencing outside on July 9 in Butler Township.
A pretrial was set Aug. 5 for Randall C. Culler, 46, Bell Road, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence for allegedly shoving a woman into an open car door after following her to storage units in Wellsville on June 22.
