Sheriff's Office
-- A deputy responded at 9:53 p.m. Aug. 13 to Old Irondale Road, Yellow Creek Township for an ATV complaint, with a resident reporting her neighbor was revving the engine to his 4-wheeler. The deputy checked the immediate and surrounding areas, but didn't find anyone or any vehicles.
-- Suspicious activity was reported at 11:03 p.m. Aug. 6 in the area of Walnut Street, Rogers where callers reported a person may be in their basement. Deputies checked the basement and immediate and surrounding areas, but didn't find anyone.
-- A woman on Lake Front Drive, Knox Township, reported at 7:48 p.m. Saturday that her neighbor was chasing the ducks, making noise and running after them.
-- A deputy was dispatched at 1:33 p.m. Thursday for a report of a stripped down 4-wheeler parked along Pine Hollow Road, Rogers. The deputy located the stripped down Polaris 4-wheeler abandoned along the road and checked with area residents to see if anyone was missing a 4-wheeler. Residents reported hearing it around 7:30 a.m. going down the road, as it was very noisy, but no one was missing a 4-wheeler. There was no visible serial number plate on the 4-wheeler, indicating it may have been stolen. The 4-wheeler was towed by Baker Towing.
-- Deputies responded to North Market Street, Lisbon to assist Lisbon police on a traffic stop, assisting with the inventory of the vehicle while the Lisbon officer completed field sobriety tests on the driver. The driver was transported by Lisbon police to the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the vehicle was towed.
-- A domestic violence report was taken at the sheriff's office in Lisbon at 8:58 p.m. Aug. 4 regarding an incident that occurred on East Liverpool Road, Madison Township. Warrants were issued for Madison Township woman for domestic violence and aggravated menacing.
-- A man on Miller Road, Elkrun Township reported a case of trespassing at 5:47 p.m. Wednesday, saying that his daughter was using a vehicle belonging to a Lisbon man that was parked in the driveway and the owner came to the residence and got it.
-- A man on state Route 172, West Township reported at 3:40 p..m. Wednesday that his son sent him multiple text messages that he will call the sheriff and make false accusations if he does not buy him a vehicle. He also called his place of employment and made the same statements to staff. The man said he just got off work and he's going to be staying in Carroll County for the night.
Highway Patrol
-- Jeffrey Lee Howell, 45, Buck Road, Salem, was cited for reasonable control after his westbound motorcycle overturned and traveled off of the right side of state Route 172 at 3:08 p.m. Aug. 16 in Hanover Township. He suffered suspected minor injuries, but was not transported.
Salem
-- Officers spoke with a person at the police department about a person allegedly making derogatory remarks about them at 9:24 a.m. Tuesday. Officers provided them with the options for dealing with the situation.
-- Criminal damage to a motor vehicle was reported in the 700 block of West Pershing Street at 8:57 a.m. Tuesday. The caller advised that someone unknown to them had flattened two of the tires on his truck. Officers advised them of the options for dealing with the situation.
-- A possible theft was reported in the 200 block of Continental Drive at 4:29 p.m. Monday. The caller was provided with the options for dealing with the situation.
-- A juvenile issue was reported in the 400 block of Reilly Avenue at 3:40 p.m. Monday. The caller advised that there were juveniles riding scooters on the playing field at Sebo Stadium. Officers will speak with the school resource officer to attempt to identify the juveniles.
-- A man urinating in public was reported in the 600 block of West Pershing Street at 2:22 p.m. Monday. Officers located a man matching the given description several blocks away. The man admitted to the alleged violation stating that he had an emergency due to his age. The man was advised that if he did so again, he could be cited or face criminal charges.
-- A person to be removed was reported in the 200 block of West State Street at 11:42 a.m. Monday. Officers found that the person in question had left the area. The business requested the man be trespassed and officers will attempt to advised him of the same.
-- A domestic was reported in the 400 block of Franklin Avenue at 10:28 a.m. Monday. The caller advised that he had been assaulted on Sunday. Officers documented the areas where the caller advised they had been struck and advised them that they would need to give a written statement to be sent to the prosecutor's office for review.
-- A suspicious person was reported in the 2300 block of Lexington Avenue at 11:48 p.m. Sunday. The caller advised that a man was asking to use a phone and became agitated when told he could not enter the facility. Officers spoke with the man and gave them a ride to the police department to find a ride out of the city.
-- A man was reported lying in the curb lawn in the 500 block of East Eighth Street at 10:10 p.m. Sunday. Officers spoke with the man, Shawn Timmons, 40, Salem, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and admitted to having a few beers prior to walking. Timmons was cited for disorderly conduct and given a courtesy transport to his residence.
-- An animal complaint was reported in the 1300 block of Ridgewood Drive at 7:59 p.m. Sunday. The caller advised that a dog was running around and attempting to bite another dog. When officers arrived, the dog had already been caught by a bystander. Officers transported the dog to the police department to be scanned with a chip reader. The dog's owner was located and it was returned home.
-- Two men attempting to break into a building was reported in the 100 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 6:41 p.m. Sunday. Officers spoke with the people in question who advised that they were just trying to take pictures of the building and were not trying to get in.
-- A semi-truck reportedly ran over a stop sign in the 100 block of West State Street at 5:03 p.m. Sunday. Officers located the sign coming off the alley onto South Howard Avenue. Traffic and Safety will replace the sign.
Perry Township
-- Officers were advised of a vehicle fleeing from the Salem Police Department at 2:27 a.m. Thursday. Officers were able to get behind the vehicle, which continued traveling at a speed of 130 miles per hour on state Route 14. The Goshen Township Police Department and Ohio State Highway Patrol were notified. The highway patrol later located the vehicle, and the driver fled on foot.
-- A man trespassing was reported in the 1100 block of Prospect Street at 11:13 p.m. Aug. 12. Officers attempted to speak with an owner who refused to answer the door.
-- Officers assisted EMT and the Perry Township Fire Department at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 12 with a medical call. The patient was transported by EMT.
-- Officers spoke with a woman at the police department at 3:34 p.m. Aug. 11 regarding an ongoing identity theft issue. The caller advised that they keep receiving past due bills in the mail from Saint Clair Community College despite never being enrolled or attending college there. The woman was advised to look at her credit reports and freeze their credit if there is anything suspicious. The matter is under investigation.
-- A juvenile complaint was reported in the 1200 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 9:32 a.m. Aug. 11. Officers were advised that a 12-year-old juvenile had been taking their grandmother's credit card without permission and purchasing things online. Officers were advised that due to the issue being ongoing and running out of disciplinary options, they wanted to matter to be forwarded to the juvenile court.
-- Officers returned to the 2200 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 10 for a domestic dispute. The male half who had left the residence earlier in the evening had now locked the female half and their 19-month-old child out of the residence. Officers advised them that he could not lock them out of their own residence.
-- A domestic was reported in the 2200 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 3:41 p.m. Aug. 10. Officers spoke with both parties and were advised that they had a verbal altercation and the male half wanted to leave but his vehicle was blocked in by the female's vehicle. After speaking with both parties, the vehicle was moved and the male half left.
-- A juvenile issue was reported in the 1300 block of Georgetown Road at 1 p.m. Aug. 10. Officers were advised that a 16-year-old juvenile male had been sent photos from a female of the same age wearing revealing clothing. Officers spoke with the guardian of the male and will attempted to get the information of the female and her guardian to advise them of the complaint.
-- A trespass complaint was reported in the 1100 block of Prospect Street at 9:12 a.m. Aug. 10. Officers were advised that a man was inside an apartment he had previously been trespassed from. Officers spoke with the resident of the apartment who advised that the man was not present and that officers could not check the apartment.
-- A vehicle was reported to have crashed into a residence causing a power outage in the 1200 block of Highland Avenue at 1:32 a.m. Aug. 9. The impact of the vehicle also caused a gas leak prompting the evacuation of neighboring residences as a precaution. The driver, Jacob Bezon, 29, Salem, was cited for OVI and failure to control and transported to the Salem Regional Medical Center by EMT.
Lisbon
- William Denoon, 65, Bergholz, was charged with OVI and marked lanes following a traffic stop at Pritchard and High streets at 10:18 p.m. Aug. 2.
- Nicholas Sherrill, 25, Negley, was charged with OVI and a license plate lights violation following a traffic stop on Lee Avenue near Jefferson Street at 3:17 a.m. Aug. 1.
- Melissa Fuller, 55, Stratton, Ohio, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on North Market Street at 2:46 p.m. July 30 in which was a passenger and found with a backpack containing a digital scale, glass pipe with burn marks and burnt Chore boy stuffed inside. She also provided a vial containing what she admitted as crack from her clothing.
