Sheriff's Office
-- Deputies responded to a state Route 644, Hanover Township, home at 11:59 a.m. Monday in reference to alleged domestic dispute. There are no pending criminal charges at this time.
-- A deputy responded to the area of Hazel Run Road, Washington Township, at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in reference to a reported explosion. The deputy checked the immediate area, but did not find any explosions. The deputy did notice a few juveniles tossing fireworks off dirt bikes, but they fled when approached.
-- A deputy responded to a Harvey Avenue, Center Township, home at 8:20 p.m. Oct. 1 in reference to a juvenile issue. The deputy advised the parents how to proceed and told the juvenile to behave.
Highway Patrol
-- Scott M. Freese, 46, Rayland, was cited for reasonable control and operating a vehicle impaired after his southbound vehicle crossed the center line, traveled off of state Route 7 and struck a ditch at 1:51 a.m. Oct. 4 in Madison Township. No injury was reported.
-- Nicholas A. Novak, 21, Adams Road, Lisbon, was cited for assured clear distance after his northbound vehicle struck the rear of a stopped northbound vehicle on state Route 45 making a turn and driven by Ralph M. Carroll, 54, Orchard Avenue, Salem, at 11:01 a.m. Oct. 2 in Center Township. No injuries were reported.
-- Bruce A. Taggart, 58, East Liverpool Road, East Liverpool, was driving a county vehicle when he backed on Echo Dell Road and struck a vehicle driven by Sandra M. Gallo, 83, Miller Road, Lisbon , at 8:14 a.m.Oct. 1 in St. Clair Township. No injuries were reported.
-- Robert H. Adams Jr., 78, McCracken Road, Salem, was cited for failure to yield after attempting to cross McCracken Road on a lawn mower, failed to yield and was struck by southbound vehicle driven by Billie M. Ingledue, 29, Teegarden Road, Lisbon at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 30 in Salem Township. Adams suffered suspected serious injuries and was taken by EMT to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. Ingledue wasn't injured.
-- Ronald F. Gallo, 67, North Market Street, Lisbon, was cited for a stop sign violation after his southbound vehicle on Lisbon Road failed to yield at the intersection and struck a westbound vehicle driven by John E. Warnick, 68, Sue Drive, Lisbon, at 2:12 p.m. Sept. 30 in Salem Township. Neither driver was injured.
-- Rebecca Show, 24, state Route 164, Salineville, wasn't injured but her car sustained disabling damage after hitting a raccoon crossing state Route 11 at 3:37 a.m. Sept. 30 in Elkrun Township.
Salem
-- Officers on patrol in the 2300 block of East State Street located a tractor and trailer parked in the center of the roadway at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday. Officers spoke with the driver, who advised that the clutch had given out and a coworker was on the way.
-- Officers on patrol in the area of South Lundy Avenue and Franklin Street at 11:24 p.m. Monday located a vehicle with its hazard lights on. Officers spoke with the driver who advised that they had run out of gas. Officers stood by with them until someone arrived to bring them gas.
-- Morgan Murphy, 27, Salem, was cited for driving under suspension and two counts of OVI after she was observed driving while suspended in the area of West State Street and Sharp Avenue at 10:45 p.m. Monday. Murphy had a strong odor of alcohol coming from her person but declined field sobriety testing and refused to blow for a breathalyzer test. Officers gave the woman and ride to her residence.
-- Drug paraphernalia was reported in the 100 block of West State Street at 7:13 p.m. Monday. The caller advised that they located a needle in the bathroom with drugs inside of it. Officers collected the needle and properly disposed of it.
-- Children left unattended in a vehicle were reported in the 2900 block of East State Street at 6:25 p.m. Monday. The caller advised that two small juveniles were left inside a vehicle by themselves with the driver's side window all the way down. Officers located the vehicle and advised the driver to take the children inside with them next time.
-- A juvenile problem was reported in the 1600 block of East State Street at 4:40 p.m. Monday. When officers arrived a the foster parent requested the juvenile be transported to the hospital for medical evaluation due to the juvenile's threatening behavior. EMT arrived and transported the juvenile to Boardman hospital.
-- Officers assisted the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office in the 29000 block of Country Lane at 3:52 p.m. Monday. K-9 Fero was deployed for an open-air sniff around a vehicle and alerted to the presence of contraband. Officers searched the vehicle and located contraband. The driver and passenger of the vehicle, whose names were not listed, were taken into custody.
-- Officers assisted the fire department with a medical call in the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 12:19 p.m. Monday. Officers stood by while the fire department and EMT evaluated the person in question, who was then transported for further treatment.
-- Shoplifting was reported at a business in the 2800 block of East State Street at 8:52 a.m. Monday. Officers were advised of two incidents which had occurred previously and were shown surveillance footage of the incidents. One of the two individuals involved was identified via a license plate and information will be gathered for charges and a warrant.

-- A officer was flagged down in the 300 block of Walnut Street at 4:14 p.m. Saturday by a resident who reported someone was constantly driving around her home and looking at her and her family.
-- Julio Lebron was cited for driving under suspension and speeding following a traffic stop at state Route 344 and Lisbon-Canfield Road at 6:25 a.m. Saturday.
-- An officer assisted Columbiana police with an active breaking and entering at a South Avenue business at 3:09 a.m. Saturday. The officer assisted in securing the building.
-- Marcellus Grinage was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop at State and Water streets at 8:03 p.m. Friday.
