To correct a recent article about the Columbiana County Park District wanting to acquire Camp McKinley, Paul Gagnon, Director of Trail Protection of the North Country Trail Association, said there are no commitments for donations yet and the grant mentioned hasn’t been applied for yet and will be competitive. He said the funding amounts mentioned in the article are only possibilities, with no funding certain at this point.

Municipal LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set March 30 for Matthew Scott Howard, 39, Annesley Road, East Liverpool, charged with fifth-degree felony improper handling firearms in a motor vehicle and misdemeanors of operating a vehicle impaired first offense and OVI refusal with prior within 20 years. Evidence was collected at the scene, with an investigation opened.
