Sheriff Reports – Deputies checked the area of Lippincott Road in West Township at 8:02 p.m. on Saturday at the request of the Carroll County Sheriff Department to locate Kevin L. Wingert. Wingert had requested an ambulance due to a mental health issue. Deputies located Wingert sitting inside his vehicle at Quaker Ridge Cemetery and Hanover Township EMs transported Wingert to an area hospital. – Deputies assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a death notification at a residence on Hill Street in Center Township at 5:44 p.m. on Saturday. – Deputies responded to Salem ...

Municipal LISBON – A Wellsville man was bound over to Common Pleas Court recently for three counts of second-degree felonious assault for two separate incidents in the Village of Salineville. Joah T. Leffler, 42, Sherwood Road, Wellsville, allegedly fired shots toward two people on Salineville Road on June 6. According to the witnesses, Leffler brandished a firearm before shooting from his car. Sheriff’s Office — A deputy responded at 5:36 p.m. Sunday to Laughlin Road, Wayne Township for an alarm drop and found all doors and windows of the residence secure. — A medical was reported at 4:05 p.m. Sept. 18 in the area of state Route 164, Center Township, with a deputy providing medical aid until EMS arrived on the scene and took over. Municipal LISBON — Ashley M. Shuman, 43, Alba Avenue, Chester, was fined $400 and sentenced to 140 days in jail with 138 suspended, two years of probation and 50 hours of community service for possession of a drug abuse instrument, and drug paraphernalia recently in Columbiana County Municipal Court. Shuman lived at a Broomfield Avenue residence which was the location of a brief police standoff between Greg Dailey and the St. Clair Police Department on June 26.
