Jeanette Marie McConnell

SALEM — Jeanette Marie McConnell, 78, of Salem passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 at home. Jeanette was born in Alliance, Ohio Sept. 20, 1942, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Laura (Bandy) Koons. 

She was a graduate of Salem High School, an adored wife and mother, and an active, life-long Jehovah’s Witness since 1958 (63 years). Jeanette enjoyed sewing, crafting, flower arranging, gardening, cooking, genealogy, teaching others about her faith, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Thomas William McConnell, whom she married June 12 ,1965; sons Jeffrey (Rhonda) McConnell of Arizona, Dwaine (Tara) McConnell of North Carolina and Jonathan (Quintana) McConnell of Salem; daughter Jennifer (Jerry) Reed of Salem; brothers David (Bernice) Koons and Harold (Victoria) Koons of Salem; sister Lucinda (Larry) Wem of Salem; nine grandchildren, Jessica Adams, Michelle (Devin) McNeese, Andrew and Emily Reed, Briana McConnell, Noah, Ezra, Charlotte, and Tulip McConnell; five great-grandchildren, Cass and Ivar Adams, Liam, Aria, and Averie McNeese; and many other unofficially adopted children.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Heritage Cremation Provider. A private memorial will be held on May 22, 2021 for friends and family.
