-- A reckless operator was reported at 3:36 p.m. Friday in the area of South Lincoln and Franklin avenues.
-- A report of shots fired was investigated at 11:56 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of West Eighth Street.
-- Salem West Healthcare had reported at 3:34 p.m. Friday that a male subject had touched a female resident whom he was talking to in a non --sexual manner on her arm and thigh. He was asked to not do that in the future.
-- A possible burglary attempt was reported at noon Friday in the 500 block of Walnut Street.
-- A report of a female attempting to break into vehicles was reported at 4:08 a.m. Friday in the 1100 block of Elberon.
-- Officers responded to a non --injury crash at 3:41 p.m. Friday in the area of East Pershing Street and Southeast near Salem Regional Medical Center involving Deborah Short, of West Chestnut Street in Lisbon and Ezra Miller, of North Howard Street.
-- A suspicious vehicle was investigated at 6:26 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of Newgarden Avenue.
-- A ticket was issued at 6:30 a.m. Friday to a van parked on the sidewalk and curb lawn near Cleveland Street and Hawley Avenue.
-- A criminal trespass notice will be issued to an ex --boyfriend of a female subject in the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue.
-- An intoxicated subject was removed at 2:17 p.m. Saturday from the residence of his mother in the 1300 block of East Pershing Street and given a courtesy transport elsewhere.
-- Police left a warning at 8:13 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of West Pershing Street at the neighbor of a resident in the 700 block of West Pershing Street about his numerous cats disturbing others' property.
-- A man burning shrubs at 3:46 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Newgarden Avenue was advised of the burn ban and open burning laws.
-- Officers responded to a condemned home at 6:10 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of West Perry Street, where a man was seen doing yard work. He did advise that there would be people remodeling the interior of the vacant residence, though.
-- A dog at large was reported at 5:37 p.m. Saturday in the area of North Lincoln Avenue and East Sixth Street.
-- A female subject reported at 12:21 p.m. Saturday in the 1700 block of Fairview Court that she believed her ex --boyfriend may have made a spare key to sneak in her house while she was away. Nothing was stolen, but motion sensors were put into lamps, table legs switched and etc. She also believes he hacked into her phone and was able to disconnect the call to the dispatcher. The officer advised she may want to change her door locks, although they will attempt to patrol the area more frequently.
-- Police responded at 11:01 a.m. Saturday to the 1200 block of Mound Street to a possible protection order violation.
-- An assault was reported at 2:59 a.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard and remains under investigation.
-- Police recovered the following property and put it in their department lost and found until it could be reunited with its rightful owner: wallet from a mailbox in the 200 block of South Broadway Avenue, 6:56 p.m. Friday; a dark blue purse containing a small amount of money near the recycling bins, 9:41 a.m. Saturday; and an Ohio driver's license at the UPS Store, 12:32 p.m. Saturday.
