Carol Elizabeth Findlay Czarneski
Carol Elizabeth Findlay Czarneski, 78, most recently of Woodstock, Va. passed from this life into life eternal on March 4, 2022, in Woodstock, Va. Carol, until recently a resident of Columbiana, Ohio, was born in Houston, Texas on March 16, 1943, to Joan and James Findlay. She is survived by her sister, Anne Findlay-Chamberlain (Rod Chamberlain); sister-in-law and brother-in-law Maryann and Michael Bedekovich; nephews and nieces James McEwen, Scott McEwen (Claire), Michelle Woods (Ryan), Seth Chamberlain (Jean-Philippe), Dan Chamberlain (Kristie), Michaelene O’Neill (Stoney), and Mark Bedekovich; and grandnephews and grandnieces Ryan Woods, Lilian Chamberlain, William Woods, Ava Woods, Ross Chamberlain, Stella McEwen, Hazel McEwen, Anne-Sophie Richard-Chamberlain, Marie-Helene Richard Chamberlain, Stephen Patrick O’Neill, Brandon Bedekovich, and Adam Worzell.
She was preceded in death by her husband Michael J. Czarneski, her sister Jane Ellen Findlay McEwen, her parents, James and Joan Findlay, and her grandparents, Mildred Helm Albrecht and Frederick Albrecht, Katherine Reid Findlay and John Thorburn Findlay.
Carol graduated from Montour High School, Point Park Jr. College, and Geneva College. She worked in human resources for most of her career including LTV (J&L Steel), and Bliss Salem.
Carol enjoyed traveling with Michael, eating out, spending time with friends and family, attending Grace Church where she served on numerous committees, volunteering for Angels for Animals, and spoiling her beloved dogs Schutze, Tager, and Bandit.
A memorial service will be held later in the spring at her home church, Grace Church of Columbiana, Ohio.
