Loretta Pshsniak
MARIETTA, Ga. — Loretta Pshsniak, 65, formerlyof Salem, Ohio and St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, passed away in Marietta, Ga., after an extended illness on February 2, 2022. Loretta Mae Pshsniak was born April 9, 1956 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of Peter and Olga Vasko Pshsniak.
She was a 1974 graduate of Salem High School and studied Industrial Arts Education at SUNY-Oswego, NY and enameling and industrial design at Kent State University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Although she was a talented artist in many medias, she moved to St. Thomas, USVI to practice her skills making enameled art jewelry for the tourist trade.
In November 2021, she was relocated to Georgia to be near her family members during her extended medical care, were, unfortunately, she passed away. She is survived by four sisters, Patricia (Domenico) Sciaretta of North Lima, Ohio, Linda Pshsniak of Boardman, Ohio, Tania (Jeffrey) Grubbs of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Jennifer Hohman of Coral Gables, Fla.; and a brother, Gregory Pshsniak of Cumming, Ga. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents and a brother Peter Paul Pshsniak.
