SALEM -- Tyler James McCaslin, 34, passed away January 19, 2023, at Aultman Hospital in Canton. He was born March 14, 1988, in Bradenton, FL, son of Duane McCaslin Sr. and the late Kathleen (Martineau) McCaslin.
Tyler attended school at Riverside High School in Ellwood City, PA. He was a cook for various restaurants. Tyler had a smile to melt your heart. He had a contagious laugh and sense of humor that would make anyone have a giggle or two. He was so kindhearted and would do anything for anybody. To know him was to love him. Tyler was an organ donor, and we are so proud of that. Because of Tyler, he saved another's life through organ donation. To raise awareness for drug addiction, please support your local chapter of Ohio C.A.N. (Change Addiction Now).
There will be no services or funeral at this time, but there will be a celebration of life April 8, 2023. Details to be announced later.
Survivors include his father, Duane McCaslin Sr. of Salem; two sons, Tyler James Izzo and Cameron Colbert, both of PA; two brothers, Duane McCaslin II of Leetonia and Brian (Jen Jordon) McCaslin of Salem; stepmother, Janelle Capel of Salem; and girlfriend, Ashley Winter of Salem.
