PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- Coletta Sneddon, age 88, passed away peacefully at home in Pickerington,Ohio February 4, 2023.
She was born May 17, 1935 to Dennis and Isabella (Englert) Kleinman in Salem, Ohio where she met the love of her life, Charles Sneddon. On October 10, 1953, they were married.
Coletta graduated from Salem High School in 1952. Coletta worked at Salem Hospital, Holman Jewelers in Norwalk, Ohio, and Our Lady of the Wayside in Avon, Ohio. She also generously volunteered at many organizations in the cities where Chuck and she made their home, including Salem, St. Clairsville, Norwalk, Avon Lake, Toledo and Pickerington, Ohio.
She was a selfless person, admired for her wit, wisdom and warm hands. Her children continue to enjoy her recipes and treasure the crafts she created. Coletta and family enjoyed camping, fishing and boating at Seneca Lake and Lake Erie.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister, Theresa (John) Patrick; children Jeanne Sneddon of Columbus, Ohio, Colette (Scott) Urquhart of Galena, Ohio, Charles (Susette) Sneddon Jr. of Stonington, Conn., Denise McGougan of Pickerington, Ohio and Renee (Maurice) Burch of Philo, Ohio; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, three sisters Donna Kleinman, Isabelle Cibula, Mary Henley, and three brothers Dennis, James and Richard Kleinman preceded her in death.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Parkinson's Foundation. A memorial service will be held at Grandview Cemetery Chapel in Salem, Ohio on Saturday, Feb. 11 at noon.
