Clara "Jane" Hively passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, January 6, 2024. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
She was born December 22, 1931, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Franklin B. and Clara J. (Harris) Gregg.
She was a graduate of Chaney High School in Youngstown and was a longtime member of Concord Church.
She retired from Bank One. Prior to working for Bank One she worked for several banks in the Youngstown/Salem area.
She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Dubbert of Akron and Linda (Daniel) Smith of Salem; son-in-law, Frank (Cheryl) Javens of Salem; daughter-in-law, Brenda (Brent) Hively of Kent; sister-in-law, Marge Cobb of Hudson; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin B. and Clara J. (Harris) Gregg; brother, Franklin B. Gregg, Jr.; husband, Eugene F. Hively; son, Brent Hively; and daughter, Cheryl Javens.
A memorial service will take place at Concord Church, 10013 S. Salem-Warren Rd., Salem, Ohio, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024.
A private interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit, Ohio at a later date.
