Clarence Eugene Wolf, 92, of Pickerington, Ohio, and formerly of Minerva, Salem and Zanesville, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024. Mr. Wolf was born in Minerva, Ohio, son of Carl and Nellie Esther Walter Wolf. Mr. Wolf was married to his childhood sweetheart Shirley for 70 years prior to her passing. He was also proceeded in death by his father, mother and siblings Walter Wolf, Paul Wolf, Lee Wolf, Foster Wolf and Mae Wolf Stump.
Mr. Wolf is survived by: three daughters, Sharon Caccimelio of Pickerington, Ohio, Linda Richards (Joe) of Henderson, Nevada, AnMarie Hoenes (Rob) of Peoria, Illinois, and son Barry (Robyn) of River Forest, Illinois, and grandchildren Katy Caccimelio, Matt Caccimelio (Lisa), Christine Richards, Lisa Richards-Bligh (Jeff), Ben Hoenes, Abbi Hoenes, Lizzy Hoenes, Bethany Fisher and Kara Fisher-Kerns (Andrew); and great-grandchildren Avery Caccimelio, Will Caccimelio and Aarya Sundar.
Mr. Wolf served in the Army Signal Corps as a private having been drafted in 1951. He served in Korea. He worked at Columbia Gas of Ohio for 42 years, retiring in 1996 and at Kroger's in Pickerington for 18 years after that.
He loved being with his family, playing euchre and poker, OSU sports, his garden, traveling to Florida, Bryce Canyon and Yellowstone. He loved the fact he was the smartest (and only student) in his class in a one-room schoolhouse.
