Harry Marvin Lafferre

1937-2024

LISBON -- Harry Marvin Lafferre, 86, of Lisbon, died on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024, at 11:42 p.m. at The Meridian Center in North Carolina.

He was born on Oct. 3, 1937, in Wood County, W.Va., son of the late Otto and Ora Gladwell Lafferre.

Harry had worked as an ice cream maker and was a member of the Lisbon Baptist Church. Before he passed, Harry and his wife were members of a local antique car club, the two of them enjoyed traveling cross country on various road trips.

His wife, Grace Kay Woodyard Lafferre, whom he married on Oct. 16, 1999, preceded him in death on Jan. 18, 2021.

Harry is survived by his two daughters, Christi (Jerry) Bodkins of Liberty, N.C., and Tammy Reed of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two stepsons, Michael (Candie) Woodyard of East Liverpool and Ronald (Tracy) Johnson of Lisbon; and a stepdaughter, Laura (Tom) Frank of Hanoverton. He is also survived by four grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Harry was one of seven children, having four sisters and two brothers.

The family will receive friends on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Services will be held on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, at 6 p.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Pastor Matthew Phillips officiating.

Burial will take place at East Carmel Cemetery, Rogers.
