SALEM -- Peter Charles Wukotich, 75, passed away Sunday afternoon, Feb. 18, 2024, at Salem Regional Medical Center.
Peter, more commonly known as Chuck, was born on Aug. 23, 1948, in Salem, the son of the late Joseph and Mildred (Rosberg) Wukotich.
Peter served his country in the Marine Corps.
Peter was a 1966 graduate of Salem High School. Peter retired from Lehmann Mills as part of their sales force after many years of service. Prior to that Peter was a self-employed carpenter who was a master at his craft and had also worked as a machinist at NRN. His interests included gardening, growing tomatoes and cucumbers from seed, as well as home renovation and remodeling.
Peter leaves his wife, the former Lynn Houger, whom he married Aug. 18, 1996; two children, Ken Wukotich and his wife Cindy of Washingtonville, and Emily Wukotich of New Waterford; a stepson, Jason Scott of Dover; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Crittenden of Salem; one brother, Donald Wukotich of Woodsville, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Besides his parents Joseph and Mildred, Peter was preceded in death by a son, Steven Wukotich; a stepdaughter, Kimberly Scott; as well as two brothers, Paul Wukotich and Ben Wukotich.
A Celebration of Peter's Life will be held at a later date in the summer.
Arrangements are being handled by Stark Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
