SALEM -- Adeline Ryan, 79, died Friday, April 26, 2024, at Conway Medical Center in Conway, S.C.
Adeline was born Aug. 11, 1944, in Stanton, Va., the daughter of Harvey T. and Evelyn Keister Black.
Adeline was a 1962 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Stanton, Va. Adeline was a loving wife, mother and grandmother as well as the co-owner of JR Heating and Cooling, alongside her late husband James. Adeline was a member of the Damascus United Methodist Church for many years, and the Western Reserve Motorcycle Club, as well as several local bowling leagues.
Her husband, James E. Ryan Sr., whom she married Dec. 21, 1966, passed away July 21, 2023. She leaves two children, Stephen Ryan and his wife Trina, of Conway, S.C, and Stacey Ekas of Salem; three grandchildren, Logan Ryan Host, Jennifer Adeline Shatzer and her husband Matthew, and Landon James Ryan; as well as one sister.
Besides her husband, James, Adeline was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Evelyn Black, and one sister.
Friends and family will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Stark Memorial Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. at Stark Memorial, with Rev. Jay Eastman officiating.
