Vivian L. Hoprich

1927-2024

Vivian L. Hoprich, 97, of Salisbury, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in Coastal Hospice at the Lake Hospital.

Born April 1, 1927, in Galion, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late George and Rosa (Altman) Stowe. Her husband of 45 years, Lowell E. Hoprich, passed away in 1991.

Vivian graduated from Salem High School in Salem, Ohio. After rearing her family and following her husband's career to many areas of the country, they settled in Salisbury. Vivian assisted her husband in the family's Arby's Franchises.

Vivian was involved with the Christian Women's Club and years ago enjoyed her Garden Club and leading Brownie and Girl Scout Troops. She was also involved with fundraising for March of Dimes and the American Heart Association.

Vivian was a gardener, played the piano and sang. She loved her family and cherished time spent with them.

Survivors include four of her five children, Jeff Hoprich and his wife, Kathy, of Roanoke, Va., Shawn Brocato of Fruitland, Douglas Hoprich and his wife, Kathy, of Salisbury and Coni Townsend and her husband, Dean, of Salisbury; son-in-law, Steve Haray of Salisbury; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Pamela Haray, son-in-law, Tony Brocato, and two sisters, Deryl Engel and Ann Zimmerman.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 1 in Holloway Funeral Home, Salisbury. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Wicomico Memorial Park, Salisbury.
