David Bloor, 90, of Sebring passed away on June 10, 2024, David was born on May 11, 1934 in Somerton-Belmont County, Ohio to Clifford G. and Amelia A (Jones) Bloor.
David was a 1952 graduate of Flushing High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Mount Union College in Allaince, Ohio where he also earned a letter in the tennis program. Later in his career he attended Boston College earning a Doctorate in Theology.
During his lifetime he served many Methodist congregations including Ashbury Sandyville, Waynesburg, East Sparta, Massillon, Uhrichsville, Avon, Bolton, Vine Street and Salem.
David's many interests in his off time included restoring antiques, collecting vintage cars and sailing on Lake Erie with his late wife Margaret and their dog Aaron.
He also was a lifetime collector and restorer of Lionel, American Flyer, Ives and Marx toys and trains.
David was preceded by his wife Margaret Jean (Marshall) who was always faithfully by his side in all of their endeavors, being it in Ministry, traveling or hobbies.
David is survived by two sons and their families and many close friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the East Sparta Community Church, 2041 Pine St. SE, East Sparta, Ohio 44626 with Pastor Byron Bufkin officiating. Visitation will take place an hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in David's memory to the East Sparta Community Church. Guests can sign the guest register and send condolences online at www.brownfhonline.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, 330-337-6363.
