Isabel Dornon Huber

1928-2024

SALEM -- Isabel Dornon Huber, 95, of Salem, formerly of Cleveland and Darlington, Pa., passed away at home on Friday, Aug. 23, 2024.

She was born on Nov. 17, 1928, in East Palestine, daughter of the late S. Lester and Florence Pelley Dornon.

Isabel was a graduate of East Palestine High School and Baldwin Wallace College and had worked in the research division of the Cleveland Clinic and was a teacher with Elyria Public Schools. She was a member of the Word of God Christian Fellowship in Canfield where she was highly active. Isabel was a member of the Salem Beautification Committee, the Tuesday Morning Music Group, and Silver Sneakers. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, playing scrabble, doing crossword puzzles and caring for her pets, who were her living house plants.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Walter J. Mohler and Aden Franklin Huber.

Isabel is survived by her daughter, Karen (Wayne) Bennett; two sons, Alan F. (Melodee) Bradesku and Jack P. (Kelly) Bradesku; two stepdaughters, Elaine Downey and Judi (Dan) Smith; three stepsons, Richard (Jane) Huber, Robert (Kate) Huber and Tim Mohler; four grandchildren, Falon Bennett, Colby Bennett, Becky Gurney and Kristen Zawada; four stepgrandchildren, Christopher (Stephanie) Huber, Aaron Huber, Elise Smith and Matthew Smith; four great-grandchildren, Brody Bennett, Quinn Isabel Bennett, Macy Bennett and Parker Forrest Gurney; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Max Huber and Hazel Huber; a nephew, Jack (Evelyn) Johnston and her deceased son Mark's widow, Barb (Felix) Aponte and their children, Ashley, Hannah, Olivia and their grandson Kaiden.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Randy C. Bradesku and Mark D. Bradesku; a stepson, David Bradesku; three sisters, Velva A. Roberts, Evalyn M. Johnston and Florence Isabel Dornon; two brothers, twin Ivan F. Dornon and Clair L. Dornon; and a grandson, Luke Bradesku.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Christian Life Center, Canfield.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024, at 3 p.m. at the Christian Life Center, Canfield, with Pastor John Dobritch officiating.

A private burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 979 Tibbetts Wick Road Girard, OH 44420.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine.
