MaeDean (Harsh) Bailey
1944-2024
It's with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our dear MaeDean (Harsh) Bailey, who passed away peacefully on Nov. 1, 2024. MaeDean, born on Dec. 21, 1944, in Hanoverton, Ohio, was a true gem in our lives. She is the daughter of the late Jasper Dean and Lulu Mae (Ridgeway) Harsh. After having attended Lisbon High School, MaeDean worked at Threshold in Lisbon, where she formed friendships that lasted a lifetime.
MaeDean was a lover of flowers, birds, and even tended to her own chickens and rabbits. Mae's skills in canning and crocheting were unmatched, and her sense of humor could bring tears of joy to anyone. She was always there for her family, finding joy in being a grandmother and great-grandmother. Mae adored family photos and cherished her doll collection -- little treasures that meant the world to her.
Married to her sweetheart Harold Bailey since Sept. 10, 1962, MaeDean lit up every room she entered with her caring, patient, and giving nature. She had a secret remedy for everything, Vicks fixes everything, according to MaeDean, and her love knew no bounds.
MaeDean's memory will be forever cherished by her devoted husband Harold Bailey, her children Richard (Lisa) Bailey, Melissa Knight, Theresa Cross, Brion Bailey and Jeff Bailey. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and all those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Matthew Bailey, and sister Gwendolyn.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. You may sign the guest register and view the obituary online at www.brownfhonline.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, Salem Chapel, 330-337-6363.
