Jennilou Sexton
1939-2025
Jennilou Sexton of Salem passed away Feb. 12, 2025 at the age of 86 surrounded by her loved ones. Jennilou was born Jan. 31, 1939 in Bloomington, Indiana to the late William and Dorothy (Prince) Sexton.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia (Sexton) Tharp, and three brothers, William, Robert and John Sexton. Jennilou lives on in the hearts of her children: John (Anita) Sposetta Jr., Julie Sposetta Iden, Jerilynn (Marvin) Barber and Jolene Sposetta; her cherished grandchildren: Amber, Brandy, Eric, Jason, Kimberly, Sarah, Jonathan, Kristen, Leanna, Marvin Jr., Justan, and Cole; her siblings: Frederick (Laurie) Griffith and Mary Jane Coffield, along with many other family members and friends who held a special place in her heart.
Jennilou was a devoted grandmother whose grandchildren will never forget the love she brought into their lives. Jennilou found joy in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed crafting, fishing, and her volunteer work.
An avid reader of her Bible, Jennilou drew strength from her faith as she fought a long, hard battle with Alzheimer's. A courageous woman who came from a long line of courageous women, Jennilou made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible.
