Walter proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, a time during which he developed a strong sense of duty and commitment. After his service, he returned to his roots as a life-long area resident and worked as a lithographer for many years.
An avid outdoorsman, Walter was a lifetime member of the Beaver Creek Sportsman’s Club. He spent countless hours in nature, hunting and fishing. His involvement with the club went beyond recreation; he volunteered to set up targets and was a familiar face at their fish fry events.
