Michele Lynn (Jenkins) Arroyo

1981-2025

Michele L. Arroyo, 43, of Homeworth, Ohio, went home to be with Jesus on March 5, 2025 following a whirl wind discovery of advanced cancer and its aggressive progression.

She was born in Salem, Ohio, on June 21, 1981 to Jeffery L. and Bonnie S. (Kerns) Jenkins of Kensington. She also leaves behind her husband of over 20 years Jesus Melchor-Arroyo of the home; one son, Julian Arroyo; her brother, Jamie (Chally) Jenkins, and two sisters, Tonya (Dave) Penturf and Janice Jenkins; nephews Charles (Megan) Jenkins, Jack Penturf, Alan Yoho and Benny Melchor-Arroyo; nieces Cassie (Colton) Dechiara and Jianna Melchor-Arroyo, Lorena Melchor-Arroyo; she was the best great-aunt to Bentley, Luke, Abbey, Kinsley and Beau; her special lifelong friends Missy Sheets and Crystal Moore, as well as countless family and friends. Michele lovingly extended her friendship to everyone she met.

Michele was a devoted wife to her husband and proud mother to her precious son. She joyously served her church and in her last days was motivated to share Jesus with all around her. Michele was known for her spunk and great sense of humor. She lived her life with a sense of adventure; bringing joy and fun where ever she went. Michele was the best listener and loved to counsel people with their problems. She always remembered the things you told her. Michele loved Jesus with all of heart evidenced by her generous spirit and the way she loved others with her whole self. Her settled confidence in Jesus allowed her to meet her death with strength and absolutely no fear. With Jesus, we never say good bye, just see you later.

Join us in a celebration of her life on Sunday March 9, 2025 at the Grace Chapel 825 Valley St. Minerva, Ohio. The service will be at 2 p.m. with a dinner to follow until 5 p.m. with Pastor Kirt Henman officiating.

The family would like to thank the staff at Minerva Rehabilitation and Nursing Center as well as hospice through Elara Caring for so compassionately caring for Michele.
