Laura Belle Biery
Laura Belle Biery of Salem went home to be with her lord Saturday, April 5, 2025. She was the daughter of James Ray and Lydia (Weingart) Wack. Laura was a graduate of Goshen High School and a member of Bunker Hill United Methodist Church were she was the longest standing member, taught Sunday school and sang in the choir and was a member of United methodist woman. She loved sewing crafting and spending time with her family and friends. Laura Belle was retired from JoAnn Fabrics after 15 years of service.
Laura was preceded by her husband Robert Biery, whom she married on Dec. 1, 1945; she is survived by children Richard (Randy Cady) Biery of Salem, John (Barb) Biery of Beloit, Jeff (Karen) Biery of Homeworth, Chuck (Denise) Biery of Salem and Ted Biery of Damascus; nine grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband Robert, Luara Belle was preceded by a brother, John Wack, and sisters Helen Webber and Bertha Malcomson.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 9, 2025 at 11 p.m. at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church, with Pastor David Andrews officiating. Friends and family will be received the hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will take place at Bunker Hill Cemetery.
