Robert ‘Bill’ Little

Robert 'Bill' Little

1942-2025

Robert "Bill" Little, 82, of Salem, passed away peacefully with his children beside him, on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

He was born May 16, 1942, in Leetonia, Ohio, the son of the late John M. and Virginia C. (Haney) Little.

Bill was a 1960 graduate of Leetonia High School, where he was known for his athleticism in football. Following graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged from duty in October, 1963. Bill was a proud resident of Salem, but never forgot his Leetonia roots.

Before his retirement, Bill had worked as a UPS driver for 37 years, and was a well-known package delivery man in our little town of Salem. Later in his career he left the package truck to drive a set of doubles to Columbus every night.

Bill loved to be with his friends, as they solved all the world problems over coffee and conversation; they could be found at Giant Eagle in Salem almost every morning. He was blessed with many lifelong friendships. For many years, in his younger days, Bill rode Harleys and played semi-pro football.

He is survived by his children: Scott Little of Nevada, Tina (Curt) Sanlo of Hanoverton, and Sean Little of Texas; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the many people, especially Copeland Oaks of Sebring, for their exceptional care and compassion for Bill.

As per Bill's request there will be no services. He will be laid to rest in Oakdale Cemetery, Leetonia, Ohio.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Greenisen family at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Creamation Services of Salem.
